WARNER BROS. INTERACTIVE ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES LEGEND OF THE GUARDIANS: THE OWLS OF GA'HOOLE - THE VIDEOGAME

A STUNNING ACTION GAME FILLED WITH HIGH-FLYING ADVENTURES INSPIRED BY THE UPCOMING ANIMATED FEATURE FILM

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announces that Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole - The Videogame will be available on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, Wii™ and Nintendo DS™ in September 2010 in conjunction with the release of Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole. The highly anticipated 3D fantasy family adventure film is from Warner Bros. Pictures in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, and will be released on October 15.

The game invites kids and fans of the film and the popular Guardians of Ga’Hoole book series to join an unlikely band of heroes as they take on the role of a Guardian, a winged warrior and protector of the owl world, in an epic story of good versus evil. Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole - The Videogame allows players to customise and control their owl on a thrilling journey across mythic terrains.

“Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole - The Videogame gives players a fun, new gameplay experience capturing the excitement of owl fight and flight with intuitive and smooth controls,” said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “Players will be able to do much more than fly, as they race, attack and grow their abilities for a more immersive experience throughout the expansive environments beautifully depicted in the game.”

Based on the film directed by Zack Snyder and the bestselling book series by author Kathryn Lasky, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole - The Videogame is being developed for Wii™, PlayStation®3 and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft by Krome Studios and for Nintendo DS™ by Tantalus Media.

About the game

Sdarts @KORNdog: Yes, I love Fear Effect very much. But if they're going to make it differently, I would prefer a sequel rather than a remake. Though remakes are easier, faster and cheaper to develop. (12 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @Sdarts: i would prefer the cel shading too, but i'm not going to write off the entire game just because it doesn't have it. it's a great series and the fact it's back is awesome. (22 minutes ago)

  • Sdarts
Sdarts This falls more in line with what Grift and others mentioned they hated in most mods - completely altering the artstyle. (49 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Plus, that walking animation looks janky as hell. If they were going to remake it, they should do Cel-Shading similar to The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and CyberConnect2's Naruto games. (50 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @KORNdog: That Fear Effect "remake" actually looks like shit. The worse is the artsyle, the original and the sequel were never about realism, they had a very impactful artstyle that this has none of. (52 minutes ago)

Sdarts Game of Thrones: "We make do with what we got." Now to wait for the season finale. (55 minutes ago)
