This will probably be the best Lotr based game made yet

Two Towers on PS2 was a triumph of action gameplay.

Amazing people aren't bored of these basic little games yet.

They're cashing in on dedicated fans who buy anything that the franchise produces. It's smart really

Although it gets tiring seeing all the lego games come out every other month, they are actually pretty well made games. Sure they are basic, but I rent them all the time for the kids, and they love them. I actually don't mind playing them occasionally either, so it's a win win.

It is pretty sad that they can pop these things out in what seems like a few months, and they seem to have better production values than the adult lotr and star wars games....

About the game

What's up?
  • Melmoth
Melmoth heh, just a week from release. i imagined it was still far off. Timed exclusive VR support for PS4 though. Maybe pick it up late then. (20 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite Each area of the plantation you explore has a "boss" family member that stalks you throughout, sort of like Nemesis, and they all have their individual traits. (41 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite @Melmoth: Yeah, that appears to be the setting from the demo, but I've read some moderate spoilers, and it's definitely in tune to what the original game was, design and theme wise, with new elements (43 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite Although the contradiction in that is that I don't think I'll want to complete it in VR either. Bad for the heart, and the undercrackers. (44 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth i have no idea about the setting. from the videos i've seen of the demo it looks like texas chainsaw massacre style setting with rednecks and inbreed. (45 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite I won't be playing it on a standard TV. It just feels lame in comparison. If you're interested in how good the genre can get, then you have to experience that to know what I mean. Give it a chance. (46 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite @alimokrane: A standard screen can't even compare. Once you put a headset on, you're in that house. That's all there is to it. You can't know how terrifying that is until you experience that. (47 minutes ago)
