I'm halfway done with Warrior mode and this feels like a big waste of $70. They basically took NG2 and removed everything that made it challenging and unique. If you never played the original NG2 this is a great purchase; if you played the original and want more boobage, this is also a great purchase... just not worth the asking price (wait for the inevitable drop). Otherwise skip it

Anyway, great stuff, especially the white outfit (which belongs to Ryu's father Joe).
The game is a big mix of NG1 design and some NG2 design, so basically a mixture of what we love from both games (with some bad and good here and there).

I cant wait, just 2 more days until get this game here in EU been waiting too long!
This outfit will be the first I am gonna choose until I get Ryuken and Ashtar outfit and then mix it up :D

I would love to play as Joe Hayabusa, would be so badass! Joe >> Ryu (IMO)

Hayabusa village in daytime is my favorite level by far in this game, and seeing the white outfit ninja clothing in such a setting is just great, thx for showing it ;)

I have my fingers crossed for NG2 Black if it ever happens. Because aside from the gore and difficulty been toned down, there are a ton of things i've been hearing about lately in reviews that i don't really like (of course, there is about twice as much that i do like). Why couldn't they just improve an already great game, without fucking up some of it parts is beyond me, so i really wish, we get a third definite version before NG3,. Either that, or they better make NG3 perfect.

I know I am dying in the waiting game, hate the fact I have to wait 2 days.
But my friend said that waiting for the actual release date is good, because when you do get it all the wait will just be sweet once you pick the game up ;)
Anyways, I know the surprise already, however I havent seen the ending that Hayashi has been talking about, and I am waiting for that one to see it when I end the game, no youtube for me.

Hayashi said there will NOT be any update or alternate version of NG2 because by the time NGS2 is out NG2 will be old and they are focusing on NGS2 but then they have new titles to think about like Metroid game and..."Team Ninja game" which I think is NG3 or DOA5.

I personally would like Team Ninja to hold off on NG3 until they know theior pros and cons of NG2 and NGS2 and then go from there. I dont want another NG for atleast 3 years from now, with a new engine.
They should just take a break from NG for a while and see how they can evolve NG further...atleast they can go to DOA5.

I like that normal people can now play and beat the game. But the purple shit coming out of chopped off limbs really turns me off. It just looks so damn goofy. Hopefully there will be some DLC blood patch once they cave.

No we don't.
The EU version has ugly PSN online sticker on front of the CE cover and the regular cover and thats ugly. And the CE cover is just all black with the title.

The US version has no stickers and has a nice image of Ryu standing on the front.
So US got the better version.

I have a question to DJ...is your version Japanese? Because when you decapitate the ninja's heads they dont get removed, but in the EU and US version does.
Did you buy the Japanese version and took it home with you or what.

@Sath; I live in Japan so yeah, I had no choice but to buy the Japanese version of Ninja Gaiden. To be honest not having blood and decapitations doesn't bother me one bit, it's still a great and fun game to play.

Aha, wow I feel extremely sorry for Japan not having the head decapitations, I know how it feels like because EU got the same treatment with previous NGs (except NG2).
But atleast NGS2 is uncensored like US.

Anyway, can't wait for tomorrow!

Looking really good. so much improved in my opinion. Game play appears to be so much more refined. Donest have that mash the button, spam attacks feel anymore. Camera is improved. Even liked the water bit, very nice visually. Mabe you should be able to walk on water if you run at full tilt and keep momentum up. Anyway im pleased.

I bought the CE today (surprisingly available at GAME in Sweden).

I am in Chapter 3 now (I think) the NY level anyways.

So far so great, not any problems at all.
Only thing that bothers me is that you can UT Rasetsu enemies nor flying swallow, he blocks them.

But other than that, so far so good, happy I can finally play it...again (NG2 owner).

Played and finished original NG2 and i dont see how ps3 version suppose to be harder. And its good thing. Probly its just BS that developerrs were telling to the press and they just believed it, since they're just more and more dumb lately.

hey DJ, i'm still waiting for your uncharted 2 footage. i'll accept no less than a 3 part, first ten minutes segment. :)

BTW, just got my NGS2 collector's edition from HMV in the post, haven't had the time to play it as yet. :(

I hope they dont carry on with these "first 10 minutes thing"..especially with UC2 - i dont want the temptation of spoiling whats probably the most polished game this gen. I want to play witness to that sucka on a HD tv first.

Who cares? It's not like this is supposed to be some sort of "ninja simulation". He's not exactly trying to be stealthy in his mission either.

You are right. But you know, i kind of think of the Sigma series as the fan service ninja gaiden games, kind of the way DOAX acts for DOA. So, you can't blame them for going off from the concept of ninja, or the game. Besides, you don't have to wear white if you don't want to, you still have the original black costume.

Oh, and by the way, the analogy wasn't to state that Sigma doesn't stand on it's own, it's more like a different NG2 and then some fan service.
