One can hate those awfully big damage zones around swords.

They are big only in a certain direction, which is the space where the swipe of the sword goes through anyway. Maybe they are big there so that the sword hits these areas even if the swipe is so fast that, frame for frame, the sword wouldn't be there and this way the engine can rely on computationally easy discrete frame simulation, if you know what I mean.
We rarely get to see such things, and maybe these sword hitboxes are absolutely normal in these kinds of games.

Well, this game is focused on 1v1 combat. So it doesn't make sense. It's not Dynasty Warriors, if you know what I mean. ;)

I like the main character design (minus the stupid face tattoos) that has a more manly look than your generic scruffy stubble pretty boys we see these days.
The music used was very nice too, hopefully its in the game (but all the gameplay videos i seen has zero music playing which sucks).

Only thing that stops me from playing it is the combat system, its too "Souls" and i hate that.

Square Enix? Isn't it Bandai Namco?

The one-hour gameplay on youtube just shows the game is very slow in action.
To make this game like souls is ok, but if the action is too slow, it will be another bad direction

The game isn't too slow or too fast, what happens is that the gear and weapons you have equipped affect your speed more significantly than in other games. In the link below is a video where it adresses this type of concern.

toelessfoot @nostradamus: So 60fps makes it impossible? Environment reflections on console run at 30fps, the only blemish on an otherwise impeccable presentation. (1 Hour ago)

GriftGFX I wonder if they intend to do more limited time modes like Fortnite. There's basically no way for them to keep up with that. (22 Hours ago)

GriftGFX It's still just on the test server.. hopefully they adjust that when everyone complains about it. (22 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I thought this 8 player squad mode in PUBG was going to give me a reason to return... but the max party size is still 4? That's just silly. (22 Hours ago)
