Lost first images

Lost first images

After a trailer shown past July, Ubisoft is back with these new images from the television show Lost. For those wondering, the game runs on a modified version of the GRAW2 engine. Launch is planned next February the 26th on PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 for our american friends.

The GRAW 2 engine was great, the offline one atleast.
Nice weather and environment effects, and it fits perfectly for LOST with it's jungle atmosphere.

But what's the point of playing LOST if it doesn't reveal anything in terms of the mystery behind the black smoke, and all other voodoo shit going on there.

I get the feeling this is gonna be like a "task game" were you go to this person talk, asks you for a task and you decide if you want to do it or not, and the item/object is somewhere in the island and fun begins were you run around in the island and do missions.

I for one want to see how it looks like when you run in the jungle, how the leaves, sound, music...etc. mixes together.

Unless the path isn't a sandbox type were you can go wherever you want in the jungle without any barriers blocking you way.

Now although I watch the tv show, the game...I think I will pass. But a demo would be fun :P

Might be worth a rental if you're a fan. This definitely reeks of cash in though, nothing on the show calls for a game interpretation, maybe a point n click game where your actions take several hours to have any effect.

RE: Some screenshots are timed exclusives to certain outlets. Some sites break embargos and/or steal media, but Gamersyde always tries to obey the rules.

Pic 3 looks rough, but the others looks pretty good.

What's the release, February next year?! :'(

Saying that, I probably won't pick it up. Even though i'm a pretty huge fan of the series.

Does sound like a 'milk' project though.

Can't say that i'm very impressed and personally i think the source material is junk, so...no hype from me on this one.

doesnt look amazing, but nice enough. i think this'll basically just be a fan service sort of game, where its not going to be particularly interesting gameplat wise, but lets the fans check out the world in digital fom. get an understanding where everything is on the island in terms of distance from each other etc. (think the simpsons, virtual springfield on PC) other then that tho im not expecting much from it. love to be wrong tho since i love lost.
