Still looking for XBLA releases, we discover, full of sparkles and enthusiasm, some new Lumines Live! images unveiling three visual packs: Holiday, Heavenly Star and Breeze. Doop de doop!
Well I now see they lowered the price on the "base" pack. But as I browse through the DLC it really is what the game should be released as in the first place. I'm tempted to buy the standard edition now, but everything else sets off a red alarm. I loved the game and played the hell out of the demo, but they have their priorities mixed, just because they are releasing on a console that allows microtransactions, doesn't mean they have to overdo it like they did.
It's pretty common knowledge now that MS basically had them chop up the game because of their stupid 32mb (or was it 50?) limit on arcade games.
Releasing the new 20 skin pack for 400 is a very nice gesture anyway. Besides, you get more playtime out of the base pack than any other game on the XBLA, largely thanks to the fact that Lumines is utterly and absolutely brilliant.
Lumines Live is the best XBLA title to date. I hope they keep releasing packs for it! I play this game more then anything else on my 360. E4 looks good, also. I love Q, bring on Rez!
