Would be nice if we get to see some gameplay, some screens/video including a HUD so we can actually see what the game looks like.

If by supersampled you mean the only thing that really is any different is SOME more AA and some of the lighting, sure. Why is it no one thinks this game can look this good, after Crysis? I mean come on. It may take a beast to run it like that but its certainly possible. The game is on PC too. (Speaking of, why do you guys call yourself Gamersyde? Why not "Consolyde"? Its the only thing sites like gametrailers up against you. I'm just curious what your beef is with PC, which is after all a platform for games, and a damn big one)

There is ZERO chance the game actually looks like that last screen shot.

No way will the game look like this when it hits. I'm sure that these shots showcase in-game assets but the rendering quality is just way out there.

Even if the final game doesn't look as good as these screens, I'm sure it will still look gorgious. You can't put out screens like this and be miles off with the final product. Adding motion to these graphics will only make it look even better.

Agreed.There are plenty of other sites you can go to for PC coverage. A lot of us on this site don't want it for the same reason they also don't cover any games on the handheld market. We don't care about that stuff nearly as much. It's best that they not spread themselves too thin and just cover the three main home console systems. That also allows a greater focus on each individual media post. Thank you Gamersyde!!!

Back to topic tho. I wonder for how long games like this ( gangsta wannabe ) gotta attract peeps attention. Same pattern everytime since GTA3. Boring and generic genre.

I have to disagree with Blim as to whether these images have been supersampled renders. These screenshots were grabbed from the trailer that was released recently. I watched the trailer in HD and I think the trailer looked much better than these screen grabs. Just look at what Capcom has been able to achieve with Resident Evil5. Not only does that game look good but it surpassed the target render video from E3 2005. What makes Mafia impressive is the fact that the game may achieve this graphic flare in an open world game. I remember not being too impressed with GTA IV's graphics in the beginning, but after playing it I realized just how impressive the engine was in a game that renders so much on the fly with very little loading. For the tech savy, that was very impressive.

There is no way that the trailer was completely ingame. 2K is trying to match the graphics of Crysis (see official site for the interview), but that is on PC in dx 10. I can not believe that they will achieve this goal on consoles, certainly if Crytek isn't able to do it. I'm sure it will look great, but not like in the trailer.

Yeah, there are sites with PC coverage, but nothing up to par with the quality of Gamersyde, which is why I'm a bit sad v.v I mean I loev Gamersyde to bits, I just wanna see stuff on PC, which needs high quality media coverage almost more then Console stuff (what with the resolutions and stuff) on here. I got no issue with it, just curious why the choice was made not to cover PC stuff, especially when there isn't a lot of coverage by the site, its more uploading video's and short descrips, not a lot of reviews or anything (which is also sad cause the reviews you get on here are usually spot on and very objective)

If they are to cover Windows games, then I demand the casual genre, which has like a billion sub-genres, which could take an entirely different site.

I suppose they could just add a PC tag to the usual multi-platform games, but to include PC games as a whole is just too broad.

Maybe if you were to offer some PC vids and reviews, the editors would love it.

Yeah, they're from the FAR superior PC version. The PC is much better anyway, it's the bestest, no console can keep up with that. Keyboard and Mouse is also much better than controller, the PC just is far superior. I like mentioning how superior the PC is in everything it does, it just satisfies me. I could go on all day about how much better the PC is, I just love to talk about that kind of stuff, just get's me all warm inside when I mention how much better the PC is than any console out there. I just enjoy it...

Agreed the game will defo not look like that come release date, it will look damn fine, just not that good, thats like some next gen stuff right there.When i first came to the website it was known as Xboxyde, this site has always been about consoles, i use to think there was nothing but PC gaming when i was younger, but consoles are way too easier to use, not to mention a damn sight cheaper then upgrading your specs every 3 months because you start to lag when firefights get intense (caused me many a angry fit in CS:S)

Devs said PC version will have much better graphics than console version and it is a native DX10 game. I am sure teh game will be equally fun on all platforms but console fanboys need to suck it up and get in shape. They are quite rabbid these times over the best version ending up on the PC. But itsjust reality, even a mid-range PC is vastly superior to either console, simple as that.

Now enjoy the game when it comes out no mather what platform or just wait for PS4 to upscale the game to atleast look close to PC version.
