Mass Effect: Andromeda - Trailers from the past

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Trailers from the past

A rarity happened, Electronic Arts released a good quality video file instead of just a Youtube link. In-game footage but no gameplay in this one as it is about Natalie Dormer who lends her voice to the character Dr. Lexi T'Perro in Mass Effect: Andromeda.
We're sharing next to it a few older trailers -in case someone find the interest- such as the TGA gameplay trailer in 4K and also the Andromeda Initiative videos from Bläck Studios and Creative Director Laurent Clermont. The game is launching next month.

The previews for this game have been pretty good but im mostly concerned about polish. 1 month before release and all previews were only on pc with major performance issues, glitches and they weren't allowing anyone to capture footage. It could be totally fine by launch but im definitely a little skeptical.

Thanks a lot for these videos, Game2k!
And thanks to Electronic Arts as well for making them available.

Thanks a lot for the videos! Finally I can replace the crappy Youtube videos with these.

If you have any of the other Andromeda videos and trailers, please do share them! :)

Great stuff. Hope you guys receive the latest two gameplay videos as well. Especially the last one was really nice.

I hope Andromeda will have something like the Citadel, I just love to explore around and stuff. I'm sure I'll find out on March 16th.

A bit worriend here for those poor facial animations... Everything else looks good to me.

You mean you weren't thrown off by the motion capture in general? https://68.media.tumblr.com/db1e3345989e873e297af3...
I wish I could also find a gif of that silly running the Asari companion does.

Seriously WTF?

It's two thousand FUCKING seventeen! This game has horrible animations, specially facial animations. Bioware tried to hide behind the typical "it's an early build" BS, but it's too late now. It's clear they half assed at least this part of the game. Brings into question how much attention it's been put into the game overall.

Half Life TWO has more expressive, natural facial animations. This is not acceptable to be honest, even if the game is great otherwise. It already doesn't look amazing graphically, so if there wasn't a big investment on the technical side, I certainly hope the rest of it comes out just fine.

I'm still on the fence on which console to buy this game (played 1-3 on Xbox). Do I give in and play it on PS4 Pro or do I wait for the ultimate Scorpio version?

Any bonus, if you have a Mass Effect 1-3 save?

Scorpio seems redundant unless it goes the PS4 PRO route and even then with every exclusive (as few as they are) being on PC I fail to see why you wouldnt just get a PC and even play Mass Effect there if you want a more enhanced experience than a PS4 PRO.

...or Scorpio.

Damn. It has to be upscaled to 4K via "checkerboard" instead of just being upscaled like the Xbox One S does? The checkerboard rendering is just taking a lower resolution image and upscaling it.

I imagine I might get banned from this site for posting that.

Funny how the trolls come out even on third party multiplats. Happy gaming.

Checkerboarding falls apart at high framerates? Weird... I play Siege w/ temporal projection on PC because it literally runs twice as fast and looks nearly as good as the native image. And that's at 144hz.

And sure.. you best believe that Scorpio will deploy the same technique.

Nah, I'm not into PC gaming anymore. The constant hunt for the best card and processor and RAM isn't worth it to me. I don't miss it one bit. And I rather play on TV then on a monitor. But to each his own, if someone only wants to play on PC, that's good.

Will hold off until Scorpio for Mass Effect, still a lot to do in Yakuza 0 and Horizon is also pre-ordered... apart from many other recent games I haven't even touched yet (Titanfall 2, CoD IW, Hitman etc.)

I wish this was an actual problem. I'm still using a CPU and RAM from 2011 and running new games comfortably :/

Kinda wish that weren't possible. I thought I'd have 12+ cores by now.

But I am sure you are not using a video card from 2011 :) How many did you buy in these 6 years? And monitor? G-Sync?

No definitely not.. although I think this is the end of life GPU for this machine.. so I will probably build a new PC in the next few years. Pairing anything more powerful than a GTX980 with this CPU seems pretty wasteful. But for now it's still performing great so I'll probably hold on for a while longer. In relative terms it's probably cheaper than buying multiple consoles in half generation cycles. But to each his own.

I do have a G-Sync display and I highly recommend them. Best gaming upgrade you can buy.

Console gamers buys monitors (TVs) too. Plenty of people on this site have bought a new TV in the last couple years. Now with the entrance of HDR and 4k it seems like even more new TVs are bought along with the upgraded consoles. If you wan't the best from any system it will cost you no matter if you're on console or pc.

I'm still on my 2011 cpu and ram too. It's the same cpu as Grift iirc (i5 2500k).

My CPU is from 2010 and can still play pretty much all games. I change GPU's as you change consoles, and PC games are cheaper so it even out :P
Commented on 2017-02-27 07:38:28
Hey judging from that my CPU isn't that bad... so I only would have to buy a GTX1080 or 60 and I'm back in the game... man the temptation...
