Holy crap, what happened to the Metal Gear franchise - this looks so awful,I could throw up immediately if I wouldnt just have eaten a juicy t-bone.

Like it wasn't bad enough what they did with Raiden in MGS4...

Looks damn awesome, Raiden gets his own game that isnt MG Solid, a new ninja game that has high potential to replace Ninja Gaiden for me, and stylish combat, especially that aerial combat, so good!

It's been down hill since MGS on PS1, MGS4 was awful and this is not good either.

You played MG Rising? how long is it? any replayvalue? unlockables? how many bosses?

Glad they managed to fix the apparent framerate issues from earlier trailers, gameplay looks solid too (haha irony), just don't like the micro-stutters/slowdowns when connecting with a hit and the way Raidens feet are modeled. They look so... uhm... thin?

Not sure what to think of this honestly. What crowd is this appealing to? It feels very far off from the old Metal Gear games. This looks more like Ninja Gaiden.

That stutter is there for the hit detection, but it will probably be less stuttery later on. This game isn't coming out for awhile so plenty of polish will come.

I think that is exactly what they are going for. It seems people are a little confused about this title. It isn't really supposed to be a straight MGS sequel from what I understand. I think they wanted to take the IP and expand it to bring in some Ninja Gaiden style action fans.

Although it's not really my style of game, the mechanics actually look kind of interesting, and at least it's trying something new with the whole slicing gameplay and fully destructible enemies and environment thing. They need to make the bodies/objects not disappear after 1 second though. That is one of my pet peeves with games. Nothing kills the immersion more than killing an enemy and seeing them flash and disappear just as they hit the ground...

Yeah 3 was so much worse than 2 and 1, being arguably the best in the series and all. I think you are thinking of the Ninja Gaiden or Prince of Persia trilogy series, that or inhaling some bad glue

Agreed, Snake Eater was incredible and memorable, hell I still remember beating those awesome bosses.

3 was better than 2 & 4 was not as good as MGS on PS.

Well Raiden isn't going to be sneaking around in a box while hoping the unsuspecting guards don't notice, he is a dude with a big sword, not a solid series.. looks fun

Agreed -- The game does look like a lot of fun - my only critic goes for the looks of the surroundings ...and I do take in mind that almost everything in the game can get sliced and diced to pieces -- but for a game that's been in development for so long it leaves me with a bitter taste -- only cause this is the time that this generation games should shine the most as we fade to 2013 where we will be bombarded with rumours/pictures/videos/specs/ and bla bla on the new consoles. I will definitely buy this one though

The game itself is looking halfway decent though, I've gotten over the fact that they're blatantly milking the franchise now. It certainly can't be any worse than RE6. I couldn't even bring myself to finish the demo

Yeah, like other people said this isn't a Metal Gear Solid game, it clearly says Metal Gear Rising. Anyways it looks badass. I love Platinum games. VanQuish and Bayonetta kicked ass. Hopefully this turns out just as good.

Nope, just a bunch of ignorants. They love to complain about not knowing how to do various things while playing, but they're not willing to take the time and figure it out themselves ether. An unskippable tutorial level is perfect for those fools.

Think of it this way. Mario, platforming game and then you get Mario Kart which is a very good racing game. Do you every think, this isn't Mario because there is no platforming so it shouldn't be called Mario? Exactly. Also when have you ever seen a cyborg ninja - either Raiden or Grey Fox - use stealth and Fox's stealth camouflage doesn't count because that wasn't being used to sneak about. Also MGS5 is coming so you don't like this game? No problem, MGS5 is for you but this was never meant to be Metal Gear Solid
