Hope its better then the first, didn't like that one much. Too many pointless mechanics. Hated having to pump up guns, wind up flashlights etc. get rid of that crap, it isn't fun.

They should remove the gas masks completely, just for you as well. Too much stuff to care about in linear shooter. :p

Yeah, may as well while they're at it. It's a simple, linear corridor shooter, having to pump up a bb gun or wind up a flashlight doesn't change that, just adds some tedious mechanics...no thanks

Adds tension to a survival horror experience. Fending off the Librarians in first game is one of the most intense moments of this gaming generation.

Thats maybe why i want it gone, because i didn't find the game intense at all. For me it was just a bog standard shooter with a nice atmosphere, and those tedious elements where just bogging it all down imo. Rather it be a "pure" experience, then a convoluted one. But i guess if you found it improved the intensity, i see why you'd want it to remain.

I feel there are two ways people appreciate games: (1.) Through the experience of interaction; (2.) Through the challenge of interaction.

I lean greatly towards #1. Hence the various equipment mechanics in Metro were one of the main reasons I got as far as I did until I got fed up, as the game was quite broken game.

Bioshock Infinite VGA 2012
It looks disappointing in the gameplay aspect, the lack of hit reactions and no punchy gun sounds makes it not much of a change than Bioshock 1 that also had those silly health bars over enemies. And the UI looks...embarrassing.

Wow, that was pretty disappointing. The increased emphasis on action, combined with the weird twitchy animations, poor hit reactions, and floaty, anti gravity physics, just turned me off. Maybe it was just a bad vid, but that really knocked it down a few notches imo...

At least Last Light looks great. Although I don't normally dig linear games, the atmosphere here can't be ignored. It is the only thing that can really get me into a linear scripted game. Let's hope it lives up to the hype.

I found the first game tedious, masks, and that guy talking would make people commit suicide. Like a drone. On and on.

Some many pc gamers raved about it, I gave it 5/10.

Wasn't a very good horror game, and wasn't a very good fps.

Does not look like they have improved it much either.

I've been playing Metro 2033 for the first time, and yes, it's got atmosphere, but playing it isn't much fun. I definitely don't want to go to Russia, as I have a funny feeling it's not a million miles away from what I've been playing; dark, bleak and depressing.
