Page 1 2 >>was he actually shooting anything or just spraying bulletts randomly ?
He also said that they aren't trying to make another jungle shooter like Crysis or Far Cry.
That alone make it a ease to know there i other environments :)
Graphics look good, I thought this was multiplatform a while back ?
I'll try it out.. I've never been terribly impressed by this game though.
Haze
COD4
The Orange Box (HL2 games)
I LOVE futuristic settings and all that so Haze is a must for me, but I am VERY skeptical about COD4 and The Orange Box.
I played HL2 on PC in like 1-2 hours, cool and all, but I want something different and fresh.
Although COD4 isnt fresh, it excecutes the modern battlefield greatly.
No I haven't played the beta, but all this talk, and footage...who knows.
For some reaosn I doubt I will get HL2...don't know why but have a gut feeling about it that it wont fill my "needs".
I can't understand why this game is being hyped. Looks like any other shooter to me.
Nope...confirmed that there are NO plans for 360 and PC...Ps3 exclusive.
Thanks
Hey Sath :) Would you mind providing a link, I tried googling but there were too many conflicting stories about exclusivity and a timed exclusive
Thanks
Best one I could find. But SO FAR, its PS3 exclusive and the latest news said that the 360 and Pc version have been dropped.
But it can change, considering its Ubi and all.
All previews have ripped it to bits due to not doing anything that well and using features from other games
I played it a leipzig and the driving sections were horrendous the shooter sections are better though but the textures were very low res
And they need a FPS, however, as far as FPS exclusive, I say Killzone 2 is the one.
Besides Sony got MGS4, bad ass franchise!

Ultimately though, there's no denying Haze is shaping up to be something special. Not only do both contrasting halves of the game hold up well on their own, the four-player co-op mode is instantly gratifying - it feels great to be backed up by a squad of people, rather than AI-controlled bots. Free Radical has a long history of creating great shooters and it looks like Haze could even go one step further than the developer's previous titles.
I also read the Gamespot and they are relaly looking forward to it, they liked what they saw.
Since when was Nectar used in other shooters? or play dead? or combine Nectar with grenade and knife to make the AI go against each other?
It brings something new to the FPS games in terms of gameplay, and that is why I like it so much.
It depends how your playing style is, and once online you choose the faction you like best, Mantel or Rebel.
first of all the name haze compared to halo
both begin with H
both end in a vowel
both second letter an A
and both 4 letters long
also
-first mission in a jungle
-play as both sides (ala halo2 mater cheif and arbutur roles)
-four player online co op
-veichal that looks suspiciously like a warthog
- both first person shooter games coming out this year
- both the biggest EXCLUSIVE fps for the console this year
im not saying its a bad thing, nor anything suspicious
but whether coinsidence or not, its pretty intresting to me at least
but hey, if it really is anything like halo3, it will be one hell of an amazingly fun and memerable experiance for you ps3 owners :)

The fact that I haven't seen stuff to get excited about tells me that there may well be stuff I won't be expecting here, and it could end up being a very enjoyable shooter because of that.
With a similar mindset, I enjoyed Resistance aswell.
Most previews are positive, even on games that the editors of any given site wind up ripping into come review time. It may turn out alright, but it's up against harsh competition this holiday season even with multiplatform titles that we already know are great. I think there are just too many unknowns here for most people to care.
When they interview the devs they don't have the balls to tell them that they dont like this and that in the game, they keep saying "yeah it looks awesome"...etc. but when the reviews comes in, they bash it, which make them liars.
These are Free Radical, and even though they might not mean anything to some (most?) people

But Haze do look very cool.
And yes, I liked Resistance alot.
4 player co-op sounds good.
