Video PS4

Our friend and first time contributor farisr wanted to give his brand new capture hardware a try and sent us the whole intro of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes in 1080p60. We had to cut it in two parts so it would be a bit more manageable, but it's still all there. Many thanks to him, and hopefully with more to come when we finally have an upload service in place (yes it's coming real soon, let us know if you are interested in beta testing it!)

Wait......What?!
My first reaction was that all the trailers were obviously PS3 footage because theres a big jump in detail, textures, reflections etc but you think theres a downgrade? You better go watch the original trailer again.

I don't see any downgrade either. It's as detailerd as in the previous trailers. And I thought owls were supposed to have sharp eyes...

Not really a downgrade as it always looked like this (bad, IMO)

He's probably referring to that the fact it's on PS4.

Bad? Sure, the engine isn't as detailed or feature packed as others, but I love how clean and aesthetically pleasing it is. It's not over-saturated and over-sharpened like most games. At its worst it looks simple and outdated, but at its best it looks almost photorealistic.

It's way too hard right now for me to imagine Kiefer as anyone BUT Jack Bauer...

I agree. It's a little rough or lo-res in spots but it light up pretty nice. And the sound design seems to be excellent, which helps!

There is only Jack Bauer, no Kiefer.

The textures are pretty bad. It has a clean look yes, but it doesn't feel next-gen... if that makes sense

I don't get the complaints about 60fps cutscenes... it matches the one-shot, handheld cam look perfectly. So tempted to buy a PS4

Better than previous MGS (except MGS4 since this is taking some cues from it), better camera, better controls, better fluid animations...yup, just better.

It took them this long to produce something that approaches the quality of Chaos Theory?

Dude, I can tell you firsthand, there is NO downgrade of graphics in the PS4 version of MGS:GZ. In fact, it looks crisper than the trailers shown on this website.

How does MGSV:GZ look bad? It looks beautiful, even on PS3. There's no downgrade either. Best looking game up to this point so far.
Loakum, short? So you haven't completed the game, yet. I am 8 hours in and 34% completed, myself.
Also, the fact that MGSV:GZ is more difficult than the previous games makes it enjoyable.

Can you name a game that is more beautiful? Not Crysis 3, even though it does look good, it's not beauty. Sadly, neither does the new version of Tomb Raider for the PS4 and XBO, which held best looking game until the release of Ground Zeroes.

Killzone Shadow Fall Single Player looks better than MGS Ground Zeroes and the art helps it even more, even the new Infamous SS looks good.
And why should I say Crysis 3? On PC sure, but on console, not even close.

Im not saying this MGS looks better but up to date? come on now.
