Page 1 2 >>First, DOA4 was rubbish, just DOA3 in HD...
VF5 being uber-beautiful but still very basic, storyless and boring...
Now while we see very little to no improvements in Soul Calibur 4 from already spectacular PS2's Soul Calibur 3...
Tekken 6 bringing a few good touches like multi-tiered arenas and character customizations, but that's all...
And now MK having a merger with DC comic heroes/villains. It seems Fighting devs have emptied their idea bags. The visuals in this game aren't so next-gen either, judging from the video above. I think it will be a major disaster even being a multi-platform title.
The game did have its good points, but all in all, it was a massive step down from the second game, let alone the first.
And also, character customisation was in Tekken 5, it's nothing new for 6. It is however in SC4.
Mortal Kombat vs DC = Fail,
2000AD could of worked, Judge Dredd would of kicked ass!
Farooq - 3D fighters have never been on par to 2D fighters :p SF For Ever
and LOL @ Farooq trolling Multi-platform titles while praising an exclusive title, Tekken.
MK vs DC Universe will be awesome, but no fatalities :(? I can't imagine playing as Sub-Zero without having the ability to do his awesome moves.
hey, no one was trolling Marvel vs Capcom >.> why?

Virtua Fighter 5, have improved a lot in the graphical side, and a little bit in the gameplay, and added new characters here and there and new arenas, and the it's the first VF with Online gameplay ( 360 version ).
Soul Calibur 4, from what I've seen screenshots and videos only from the game and from what it looks like, It's a next-gen eye candy by today standards, and personally, I don't know how it plays and how it's different from the older soul caliburs.
Tekken 6, I've seen screenshots of it, and I can't see anything different from the last downloadable tekken, and I don't anything MAJOR about it cause i'm not following tekken news, but hey dismissing all these fighting games and saying they didn't improve in a MAJOR way and praising tekken only, that's questionable.
about MK, Ed Boon maybe wanted to do something new with MK rather than adding new characters, dude my head explode when i saw this picture of MK Characters .

lol, so MK vs DC is really a good idea of having the old school MK characters plus the well known DC Characters, Capcom did it with Marvel Vs Capcom and it was a VERY successful idea!

Totally dissapointed here. Ed Boon said he wanted to start fresh, but then again he said the same thing after UMK3 and MK4. I wouldn't be such dissapointed if it was vs. Capcom, SNK, Street Fighter or even Marvel. I just do see me fighting against characters like; robin, aquaman, woderwoman, robin hood guy, *sigh*
From what we've seen of the gameplay, it doesn't look too different, and the fact it's not a true sequel or restart or whatever is just.. meh. I can't say I'm interested in beating Batman to a pulp as Sub Zero.
Every mistake is scritinized.
I don't see anything wrong with this at all. Mortal Kombat has generally been a pretty weak fighting game in my book, so if they want to spice things up with DC characters, then so be it.

Read there will be no fatalities.....sucks!
I feel the latest fighting games like VF5 and DOA4 are about on par with the fighting games for the last ~15 years. No huge evolutions, but still being refined at the same pace.
We are at a point where I think fighting games could take a big evolution, but it'd be a lot of work and risky... It's probably end up like Tao Feng.

Also, MK ithout Blood or Fatalities is enough for me to hate this iteration, adding in characters from the DC universe that have absoltely no place in the MK franchise... That practically criminal.

As for this game, sounds like a recipe for disaster. I guess they ran out of idea's, much like the majority of developers are with this genre...
