It's a shame it's the crappy remake's Freddy Krueger rather than Robert Englund. :(

How can fire kill Scorpion? Doesnt make any sense.

Scorpion lives in hell, he creates fire, he vanishes through fire...but he died through someone elses fire? lol

Cool stuff though.

MK welcomes a waste of time character. Redundant and uninteresting.

How about one of the many deserving characters from previous incarnations.

Freddy is a good fit for this game.

Perfect choice for DLC. I think they should go for all kinds of crazy characters for DLC since its not on the disk and would be more fun than having MK characters as DLC.
Like Kratos should have been DLC instead of Rain and Kenshi.

disagree was much better than originals, the fact the movie highlighted his dark side (pedo) instead of making him a comical anti hero..
effects were shitter than the original though..

What?? In the original he was a serial child killer before he died, in the remake the teenagers had collective amnesia about Freddy touching them in their special places when they were little, lol! I can't think of a single iconic scene from the remake and they even ruined the classic bathtub scene by making it anticlimactic. And I'd say Freddy's humour is integral to the character, plus he wasn't as comical in the first film anyway. Robert Englund is Freddy Krueger, period! :p

Wow this is the crappy remake Freddy not the Robert Englund that would have been killer.
Still it brings chills just looking at Freddy putting Scorpion in the furnace.

About the game

What's up?
  • KORNdog
KORNdog for me the more important games in VR are the ones from indie studio's who are conceptually not playing it safe, they're experimental and unique and are offering experiences we wouldn't get otherwise (25 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog but for consumers it's one of the most "standard" experiences in VR in the sense its a normal game we're accustomed to. (27 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @MrWhite: i'd actually consider RE7 to be one of the safer experiences in VR becasue it is a mainstream title. i mean, it's added work from capcoms point of view (27 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth @GriftGFX: looks a bit like Audioshield, which is good fun. [url] (1 Hour ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth engines to get good results. graphics hardware would also need more than a few changes. I think this will the biggest hurdle to get devs to support VR (1 Hour ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth and some of them not that far away. problem is more on the software side. eye-tracking with foveated rendering doesn't work well with traditional rasterization, and would require fully rewritten (1 Hour ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth @MrWhite: wireless HMD, inside-out tracking. great for convenience. Eye tracking+4K'ish displays, improved clarity without (potentially) killing performance. important for the VR onwards. (1 Hour ago)
