I actually liked the beta. What turns me off though is their whole realism approach. I don't want do "play" in wars that are currently going on, let alone play on some MP map that is based on Osama bin Ladens hideout
I still like modern day shooters, but i'm really done with the MOH and COD franchises, such a stale MP concept -> DM/TDM/CTF yawn... Guess any FPS featuring vehicles could win me over. PlanetSide 2 seems like nice MP approach.

I'm totally with you on that. Sadly most Americans would blindly buy it solely for that reason...
Yeah that is some stupid shit. Games are fiction and for entertainment and fun and they should always be solely for that. I don't give a crap about real life stuff in games though, i will just accept it and play it, i don't mind it much, but i rather would have it removed tbh. But the beta was awesome and i'm definitely considering getting it.

Well, I'm a conservative and a combat vet, and I thought all that fist pumping was retarded. Osama bin Laden hasn't been relevant in a loooong time. He was just an enemy, and cool we took him out, but the issue has never been with just one guy. There is nothing great about killing another, and sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, but it's not really worth celebrating, IMO.

This has better controls and probably better polished from a technical standpoint, but since its the same engine its unknown.
Oh and better hit detection, from what i seen.
Other than that, nothing else, maybe better level variety that isnt a huge ass map. Focuses on infantry as main focus while BF3 doesnt.
