2K Games released a new batch of images of Mafia 2 and for those of you who are having a hard time with the summer heat, I'm pretty sure you will find a few that are a tad refreshing to say the least.

Yawn. Yada yada PC has better graphics, I just have to buy a new card! Sweet, this game cost me at least 150 dollars!!
Come on, we all know that Higher-end PCs will run games smoother- Does this have to be brought up every time?
On topic, this is looking quite impressive, no matter what platform it's running on. It's obvious the dev knows their stuff...

Game looks so good I'm getting it for the PC so I can crank the graphics all the way up.

@Frozpot

I built my computer a year ago and I wouldn't doubt being able to max this game out no problem. No one is buying a graphics card or computer for a single game don't be silly.

My 4 year old PC could play it high settings as well( but I paid 3 grand for that at the time). I just hate the useless comments. It's like the people that have to state which console version they are going to get. The fact that he said he needed a new card to do it after saying the "PC" version would look better annoyed me.

The graphics look great, no matter what system you are going to get it for. All of that means nothing, though... if they cant nail the 1950's atmosphere. That is the most important aspect to me. I want to feel as if I am walking around in the 1950's, not a modern game with a 1950's coat of paint.

I hope they nail it.

I can't wait to get the PC version. The console versions of the first game sucked in comparison.

Really nice visuals as usual, but it's just too bad whenever I see it moving the facial animation is so abysmal. The characters look like ventriloquist's dummys so basic is their mouth animation.

Great stuff, hope they fix the lip syncing though

Actually spacemanjupiter's comment is true, even if it seems like just mockery to fire you up Frozpot. The game suffered many issues on the consoles. The problems was not just graphically, but from a gameplay perspective aswell. Hopefully it will be better adjusted this time around.

I wasn't interested in the first one( I didn't have a Gaming PC back then) as it did, indeed, look like it sucked. Gameplay? I really don't like the M/k for anything other than strategy or FPS's. If you use a game pad with the PC then you are negating differences other than graphics (unless you are using it in tandem with the Keyboard, but that is ridiculous). Now, if it indeed played differently( as in features and stlye of play) that different...

About the game

What's up?
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX And Hawaii probably won't do anything either because banning games in Hawaii would be a seriously shitty thing for local consumers and not a whole lot of other people. (18 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Thankfully Belgium isn't going to do anything without convincing the rest of Europe. (19 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I hope this falls completely apart based on the (obvious) broadness of the issues they're dealing with and the implications it would have downstream. This is just silly. (19 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX What's a "perk"? This is a difficult thing to legislate fairly. You're basically asking the government to get into game design. Phew. (20 minutes ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke @GriftGFX: no, it's an attack on lootboxes with perks. That is also what Belgium is talking about. (23 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @droezelke: The problem is: this isn't about "the EA model" it's a flat attack on "loot boxes", and that will harm consumers and good games. (28 minutes ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke @GriftGFX: I have been talking about the EA model the while time. And no, I'll never buy an EA game again if they don't become consumer friendly (29 minutes ago)
