I love the Naruto show (Japanese only) The game looking this good is a very good bonus. Can't wait.

I haven't watched one Naruto episode in my Life and this game looks like its Fan service and yet even I know this is a must purchase, Let me divulge the experience and conclusions that I drew just from the Naruto demo. What may appear at first glance to be a mediocare fighting game with the Naruto franchise slapped on to generate sales is far from the truth, not only is it fan service but simply but it is a great/ amazing game, combat is so deep mapping simple combos to one button whilst using more complex combinations to execute ultimate attacks and also a reversal system is in place what this allows for is game so deep in combat that ultimately every character can become balanced once you put the time in to master each individual, graphically this game is just breathtaking. Why have I gone through the effort of stating all this?
Simply because Naruto is one of those games that could be neglected with the forthcoming plethora of AAA games coming out but this game has to have a chance of being on your list because in all honesty asides from some games you'll probably have more fun with this than any other game being released this fall (IMO).

Even thou it's from one of the worst anime i saw in my life, the game looks very promising.

same, i have zero interest in the anime itself, but the game plays really well. would i have liked it more if a different franchise was wrapped around the combat system? yeah, sure. but as it is its still a lot of fun, not something i'd buy, but im definately giving it a rental.

All ready preroded Limited Edition of this game!

I haven't even tried it BECAUSE it's Naruto. My friends would never let me hear the end of it if I started watching kids shows again, and especially buying their merchandise.

Naruto is entertaining, even for adults. If you like action and animation, there is some really good stuff here. Don't think you can't watch it just because it "looks like it's for kids". You still go to see Pixar movies, right?

Anyway, this is secretly my most-looked-forward-to game this fall. I and a friend played the hell out of the demo. It is definitely fan service, but done right.

It's a fighting game, but it does have an adventure mode similar to what you saw with Ubisoft's Naurto game. The adventure goes all the way up to the Sasuke retrieval arc if I'm not mistaken. Still, it's a fighting game at its core.

Anyway, yeah, the trailer is Ace and this game will own as far as being the essential Naruto game(for now). I also like the fact that all the DLC for the game will be free. A surprise coming from Namco Bandai

I think some of you would be surprised just how smart the battles in Naruto are if you did give it a chance, and if you were to watch the episodes over reading the manga, at least watch it with the Japanese voices and subtitles.

As for this game, Ill def be picking it up.

I actually started to watch the show after knowing about this game and as an adult who has seen many anime in her life I can say I like it. I would compare Naruto to Sailor Moon, at first glance you could think it's a trival and kiddy show with no depth whatsoever (this is mostly due to the scandalous censorship applied to japanime in general and to shows airing on CN in particular), but take the time to look at the uncesored version without prejudice and you might found a reason to like it.

Amen to that.
The story line in Naruto can be very hard hitting at times (The whole Gaara thing, Sasukes past, even Narutos own past)
I don't like how they censored it and turned it into a cartoon though, plus the american voice overs suck. I'm not against dubbed anime but in this case it's justified.

Just watched this and I'm extremely impressed.
The animation looks spot on and the art direction looks so much like the anime, where as with the Ubisoft game I thought they tried to capture the original manga style more (nothing wrong with that though).
I wasn't going to bother with this as the 360 Naruto game has more depth due to the platform + fighting combination, but this looks like one of those games that has solid fighting mechanics and captures the best moments of the anime with the cutscenes.
Also great how it essentially covers the entire Naruto storyline (bar fillers thank god!).
So yeah, I'm rather impressed. This along with LBP will probably be the only 2 PS3 games I'll bother with for the rest of the year.
