EA are racing around the world, showing their new games to the public this summer. They released these images and a pretty long gameplay trailer from Need for Speed: Carbon, and at least the sound is great.
So not impressed. And EA seems to give the "fans" more of what they want.. all-round mediocrity. But it has worked for umpteen times and it will work again; it will sell like hotcakes.
I know this is a arcade game but I read on gamespot that they dumb the physics down to a point where you dont have to fient wieght shift or anything to get it drifting.
Dissapointed but because I am a fool that buys every racing game, I will be picking up this aswell :(
It looks smoother than nfsmw which is good, i wonder if they will have daylight in this game if not ill just of to accept the night just like i did with nfsu 2.
I really liked Most Wanted, and have been looking forward to a sequel ever since. BUT, this isn't at all the game I wanted the sequel to be. All night racing? Pass! The lighting was one of MW's greatest strengths. And even with the lighting dumbed down, it still doesn't look like they can get a steady frame-rate out of the engine. Yuck, yuck, yuck. I hope they prove me wrong across the board, but if not, I think I'll go pick up a used copy of MW instead and wait until next year's version.
Yeah the video looked smooth....and the night driving along a twisty mountain road looks cool. But it definately looks like they've gone back to the bloody Underground series......judging by the rice on that beautiful aston martin...Although they did have crap body mods in MW....I guess we'll see when the car list is released.....and the city you play in....hopefully it will be far more MW than Underground
I never said they never made a good game but they rarely do at this point. Fight Night is one of the few EA games that isn't decreasing in quality with each passing year.
I'm never playing another Need for Speed game again untill they go back to the Hot Pursuit style and get rid of the damn ricers, NFS should be about exotics and only about exotics

Why are they going back to the undeground series? did underground sell better then most wanted?
Why no most wanted 2? with the lush enviroments, daylight, great lightning effects! and cops back...
Most wanted 2 could have nighttime and daytime racing, more lush enviroments, even better graphics, more cars, and the possibillity to actually be a cop as well.. and offcourse, online has to be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better then just 4 players racing short parts, or set tracks, or drag race.
why? im really dissapointed in EA blackbox... just when they brought back the glory days of NFS back in most wanted, they turn it all around and go back to the underground games.... dissapointing really..
