I'll definitely keep my eye on it. I've always found their pure sim approach lead to some pretty convoluted game design choices, but it looks cool.
I wish they would do a WWII version.
there you go ;)

That said I do really enjoy Arma II, and I'm looking forward to this entry. Hopefully they will work on textures and performance int he engine, even at "very high" texture settings, everything seems to look about the same as "low".
Arma wanting this for the 360 or PS3 is it PC only?
Wow they are really pushing the Xbox.
Definitely looks nice enough, but all ARMA games have always had great realistic art style and graphics. I'm wondering whether they will actually bring their physics engine into the new millenia with this new release though. Hated the lack of physics and reactions when shooting people in ARMA II. Looked straight out of 1995. Also, vehicle damage and destruction could use some serious improvement. Looks like they may have reworked the animations though, which was really the only other sore point in the series...
Remember playing ARMA II for the first time, i spawned on a field on a random part of the map. Had no idea where vehicles were or how to ask for a heli to come pick me up but i knew there was a fire fight somewhere ahead of me so i decided to run there. Took me literally 30mins+ to get there and when i did the people playing had pulled out to another village, f*************!!!
Have only played the previous ones with friends in LAN creating crazy missions. Love DAT editor.
extremely boring but pretty series.
I like modern setting, but that is close to CoD type considering its exagerated to some extend. Battlefield is like my toe is across the final line of "me dont like" (which tbh I am not enjoying it the game anymore considering some issues I have with it, probably gonna get rid of it soon).
