I'm gonna force myself to play through mass effect 2 (PS3) again via rental so that i have a save file to transfare over to ME3. Cos there is no way i'm replacing my 360 for the sake of this one game. I'd love to transfare my sheperd across that i've used for the past 2 games. But i just cant justify paying 200 quid to do so.
Concerning the game, i really hope, at the very LEAST that this fits between ME1 and ME2 gameplay wise. I have a feeling it'll be even more of a TPS and less of an RPG tho. I really hope that isnt the case.
From what we've been shown thus far, EA really managed to f**k it up completely... Not saying it will be a bad game per se, but just another Gears of War clone with a deeper storyline and light RPG elements.
Exploring exotic alien space stations, talking with strange alien beings, being soaked in environments with GREAT atmosphere, then the rpg/shooting mechanics.
Sadly now, the story is fucked up, they killed most of the exploration and the locations look like complete ass (giant cover blocks everywhere married with poor & ugly level designs).
EA/greed/BioWare's expansion fucked up this series for good. The employees probably got a shit load of money after EA bought Bioware and said, "fuck it" and took off

Hans Zimmer is an easy, maybe a lazy choice. Familiar sounds all around. Clint Mansell? It means Bioware is ready to go WAY forward with the music.

A résumé by itself doesn't mean s**t. I dunno about Doom_Bringer but I am FULLY aware of who Clint Mansell is and I am not impressed by this decision. Also, Jack Wall was the main composer of the series since the original, which means he's also one of the people responsable for the ME we know and love.
No disrespect to Mansell, which has an awesome résumé and is talented indeed, but I see no reason to replace Wall at this point, other than being nothing more than a cheap PR stunt by Bioware and EA.
How would you feel if Mark Meer or Jennifer Hale got the boot in order to be replaced by some fancy Hollywood actor?
