Yeah it's delayed in Japan. It could mean it's delayed by as much in the US/EU too.

GOOD GOD this game looks so good it's sick. This is truely next-gen dynasty warriors. Too bad KOEI sucks and couldn't do this.

This looks great!
It's games like this one that the original xbox didn't have.
But the 360 does, great isn't it?

From the movie it just seems like stupid hack'n'slash - I'm missing something? Never played Dynasty warriors too. Graphics are superb tho.

It doesnt look like you have any controll of your army, sadly.
More like a big battle with commanders that is like mini bosses thats you need to kill.
Also the developers said they can have 2000 units at the screen at same time.

Blim interviewed Miziguchi at TGS and he said something about some basic control of the direction of your army, which would seem likely as it is a Phantagram game.

This is not another Dynasty Warriors. This project is being headed by Tetsuya Mizuguchi. If you don't know who that is, then you're hopeless. Just forget about 99 Nights.

i think that the (upper) screens in the first scan are from a CG-cutscene (notice the selfshadowing and the higher detail in textures + volumetric lightning and depth of field)

compare to the screens below, they seem to be realtime to me

Its actualy all realtime, see all videos of 99Nights and you will see .. selfshadowing, volumetric light and depth of field are not that heavy .. speacialy on the Xbox360 GPU (that is special and does DOF / AA and lots of other effects for 'free' ... THX NEC! THX!) ...

The controlled cutscenes look nice at least, the rest of the game looks boring gameplay wise.

100% agree. Just like dynasty warriors. I don't really have high hopes for this game. I think it'll get repetitive after about 2hrs or so.

after playing ninja gaiden, i feel spoiled. if gameplay doesn't beat ninja gaiden, in terms of difficulty (im on phase 5 of hurricane pack 2), then for that game i just dont like it anymore. ninja gaiden was Perfect. every enemy generally poses a threat where as in this case of kameo even, you can kill them left and right (like 99% of games), but then again other things do make up for that, but generally not.

Ninja Gaiden is a complete different game then Kameo or 99 Nights. That would be like saying the A.I. in Fifa World Cup is worse than in F.E.A.R.
