Backdrops look a bit blurry. Guess they didn't have the assets to render them again in high res and had to do something with original images. It's kinda funny though, we used to have pre-rendered backdrops, because real-time graphics were much less detailed. Now in this remaster the real time bits look so much crisper than the pre-rendered backdrops...

True but if those original prerendered backdrops were completely redone in full HD, then the remaster would look even more impressive. They have done a bit of work on the backgrounds though to fix the more obvious blurry backdrops, the producer shows here how they achieved this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WNTRDNEg6I
But more hi-res "FMV" backgrounds, as he puts them, would look spectacular in the game at 1080p. If they made a new Onimusha game, I would love for it to be hi-res prerendered backgrounds like the awesome 2nd game. :)
