I think whether this succeeds in being a "true" Hitman game or not, it should still be a blast to play.

I have to agree. Even though it may not be a 100% "rooted" Hitman, it seems to be fun to play with.

If the story is on par with the visuals, then I'm all in for this one.

Considering these shots are from the PS3 version, I am pretty impressed...its up there with some of the best looking games on the system. Ill probably pick it up on PC though.

It brings up the burning question, we all need to know:

How many corpses can you store in a closet?

IO are masters of post-processing effects. didn't saw effects as good since alan wake / Kane&Lynch 2: dog days.

I'm still having a hard time buying that these are PS3 gameplay shots. The textures are just too damn good. I suppose they could be from the PS3 version, but a lot of them look like they are from a cutscene or QTE or something. Take pic 5 for example. Is there a button to walk around like a bad@ss with holding out a bible and cocking your head to the side? Doesn't look like gameplay to me.

What about the axe scene? I really hope this isn't like the new Splinter Cell with scripted kill scenes that you trigger by entering a context sensitive area and pressing a button. Kinda would kill the immersion. Still looks great, but I have learned lately to keep expectations low for old school franchises try to "reinvent themselves"....

Really nice graphics, is this running on the same engine as Splinter cell?

Game play wise i think its going to be allot more action oriented.

The PS3 footage already shown looks like these shots. Pretty sureit is the lead platform

About the game

What's up?
  • Tinks
Tinks well it's addictive yes! But you don't have to grind for anything so it's not so bad. You can hop in and out :) (1 minute ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth not really. i'm thinking it's a real time sink, and i don't have room for one :) (10 minutes ago)
  • Tinks
Tinks are you on the fence about this game? It's not too expensive at $40 (11 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth which is by people who liked the game, if not they wouldn't have stuck with it. (11 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth user reviews are sorta problematic too as early reviews are affected by things like server problems the first hours or days, while late reviews are often from people with hundreds of hours played, (12 minutes ago)
  • Tinks
Tinks I bet it scores mid 9's. Metacritic user reviews so far are pretty funny in the negative column (15 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth in some ways it's the same with games that are buggy or lack content at launch. a revised review a few weeks or months later is one way. (16 minutes ago)
