Looks like crap, and by crap I mean not like Max Payne at all. I probably won't like it, especially since I've never enjoyed Rockstar games very much.
"That really tastes like shit, and by shit I mean not like peanut butter. But I've never actually liked peanut butter!"
Hahaha that must be the best reaction ever!!!

Anyways, i think this game will be a huge step up in terms of animation for a 3rd p.shooter, just like LA Noire was a huge step up in terms of facial animation. And i know for sure that about 98-99% of all those haters are goin to throw their "This doesn't look like the original Max Payne!"-attitude overboard as soon as this game hits the stores. I'll take any bets on it ! Well, and for the 1-2% not enjoying it, they're just EMO's and can't be helped. :-P
The weight of the character is the ONLY thing that i'm worried about. R* have a habit of giving your character awesome, dynamic, reactive animations thanks to the euphoria engine, but they also weight the same as, and control like a tank. [...]
ROFLMAO! *gasps for air*

Now I think you missed the entire point in why people are hating, sure this could revolutionize 3rd person shooting and animations, whatever, but if it doesn't have that noire feeling like the previous games then it is not a Max Payne game. I don't care if this is the greatest game ever made, if they decide to pull a resident evil 4 and continue on the series without it's signature noire (horror for resident evil) then no amount of sales can convince me that this Max Payne is better than the previous installments. That's what everyone who is "hating" on this game is trying to say, but some just express it differently
Bull revolver, huh? Gamestop pre order exclusive I bet lololol
I would bet my paycheck that the vast majority of people complaining about the supposed lack of noir have not seen more than 5 noir films nor know many of the stylistic techniques/tropes that make noir, noir outside of detectives and black/white.
I liked Max Payne man. It was made by Remedy, not Rockstar.
And I also never liked Rockstar games.

From what I've seen so far- it fits pretty well. Hard Boiled crime drama, baby. With monologues of course...
and it was torture to watch. Like a 2 dollah ghetto film.
and the whole time I was like, "when does this end so I can shoot shit?"
You did ? Well, there you have it: your Film Noire element.
It worked for Heavy Rain, why can't it work for Max Payne 3 ?
Throw in some comic story elements and we're almost there, close to the original's look and feel. That's of course if Rochstar planned it that way... Guess we'll have to see about that for ourselves.
who the fuck cares if it's like a noir film? I never experienced "noir" from the first 2 games except from the low budget cut scenes.

They have also come out to say they are keeping the more traditional parts under wraps because of revelations surrounding the changes between certain sections of the game.
Basically, you shouldn't make such assumptions.
