New screens of Risen 2

Risen 2: Dark Waters gets 20 new screenshots. Deep Silver announced that the console version of the game will be out on May 22 in North America, May 25 in Europe. Only the PC version will be available on April 24 (27 for Europe).

Agree, the graphics actually look quite nice. Not sure why they gave the spiders chompers like Matt Dillon in There's Something About Mary though.....I think I will feel bad killing them with that precious smile. I would rather go have a beer with them or something.

    Megido I mean, compare the bizarre texture on Vaan's abs to the crotch and see the massive difference in texels, then look at the lego-brick shoes. They put the detail where you are likely to look. (40 minutes ago)

    Megido Though i can certainly agree that a lot more work has been made to make characters look better in FFXII. But a lot of that is keeping textures simple to look decent even if resolution is tiny. (41 minutes ago)

    Megido But all the same technical aspects apply to the characters and objects as well. The AA is better emulated as well, but if you ported DD to a modern PC that'd be a moot point. (43 minutes ago)

    Megido Certainly a lot less workarounds to dodge limitations of tiny memory. Look at the obvious tiling in the FFXII shots for example. I mean, that ass-tiling on the wall in the background is pretty bad. (52 minutes ago)
