Video PC Xbox 360 PS3

Ubisoft just sent us a new commented video of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist showing that each situation can be approached in multiple ways depending on whether or not the player wants to remain invisible.

it does look better then the steaming pile of shite conviction. But still, no deal. I'll rent it. Double agent and conviction has put me right off buying splinter cell games.

I just miss the slickness of the orignal 3, especially the original. That game was so sophisticated in it's design. I remember getting stoned, playing that game and getting my mind blown. It felt like a movie. I was also a fan of the multiplayer. It sucked playing with randoms but when played with four friends I don't think I've had a better online experience.

This looks exactly like Future Soldier in terms of gameplay. The difference is that you have a single character.

I hope it will be similar to Conviction which is a great game. You may disagree but I think that most people compare Conviction with their "memories" of Chaos Theory rather than actual game. Real Chaos Theory by today's standards is quite linear game with clunky controls and "save crawl" type of gameplay. It was very good game "back then" but not now. I played both games recetly and Conviction is 100 times better game. Maybe some people really prefer gameplay and controls from SC:CT but in most cases this is just pure hate like "they've broken our favourite game" without real analysis if "original game" is really that good nowadays.

I played the SC collection before and AFTER i played conviction, and despite the non invertable camera controls, i still thought not only chaos theory played better, but the first and pandora tomorrow played better too. I just didn't like this jason bourne wannabe approach to gameplay. Conviction is a prime example of a series being made more "exciting" and accessible in an attempt to win over the COD generation...worked for some. Not for me.

What do people always hate Double Agent? I played all the SC games for the first time about 3 years back & DA was one of my favorite, and I am always puzzled as to why people hate it so much.

It was awesome on the original xbox, it was awful on the 360/PS3/PC. It had been "shanghai'd". Basically the lesser SC team made it and you could tell. They tried for this minimal "SC in the daytime" approach. But it just felt awkward and shitty to me. Double agent on the original xbox however was made by montreal, and was basically a love letter to those who wanted more chaos theory.

pepe le pu your sir are full of it, conviction was as linear as any other splinter cell but lacked the stealth and style. it still holds solid in gameplay to ths day its amazing.

memmory my arse, next you will say recon is better than they once was.

as i said many years ago. if it was called 24 it would of been great but as a sc game it was shit.

korn they patched invert back in.

After that awful E3-demo i haven't been following this at all. But i gotta admit, the game is looking pretty good. Ridiculously named "Panther"-style ( God, so silly) is definitely my way of approaching the game.

Might actually play this.
