New trailer for The Ballad of Gay Tony

New trailer for The Ballad of Gay Tony

Grand Theft Auto IV's upcoming DLC gets a new trailer, or rather a TV news report brought you by Weazel news. Once again, Rockstar does a pretty good job at delivering what we could call an exciting appetizer.

This is a video game afterall. Any one of them can be simplified to this. That trailer was really cool

First post, guess you saw all that from the video.

No, still pissed that MS spent $50mil on this BS when they could have made 2 new ips.

Yea that'd be a shame if it weren't awesome. GTA continues to keep things relatively fresh throughout the campaign, and the variety of gameplay is a lot better than you're giving it credit for. It managed to keep me interested.. which is more than most sandbox games can do.

Why? Did the money come out of your pocket?

So you would rather have DLC instead of 2 new games!????!

Depends what the games are.. I'd rather have this DLC than quite a few games.

And two new IPs would defiantly not be repetitive?

When you make such a broad statement about a game being repetitive you can't come back and say you want a different game.

Most games are essentially the same. But it's not about the repetition or simplicity, it's how much you enjoy it.

Not interested? Don't play it then. But I, and many others, will absolutely love this DLC.

Oh and if you want to make a statement, then don't buy this. The moment you buy this DLC your point is made invalid.

For $50mil MS could make two Gears/Alan Wake/Fable quality first party games.

No one spent 50 mil on a DLC. They gave Rockstar a loan of 50 mil without interest which they pay back with the two DLCs, the money is not some royalty. So what they did was actually paying them for both DLCs in advance (they would have to at some point anyway). Apparently R* needed that money at that time and they took the opportunity. And it's my guess, that this money was directly invested in new game projects.

They helped funding some Rockstar titles, what's not to like about this?

I wasn't super hyped about GTAIV DLC but now after it has all been said and done I'm interested.

About the game

What's up?
  • Sdarts
Sdarts If it was, that would be great as there would be no need to buy a HDR TV to watch HDR content as any SDR screen would be able to show HDR the same as HDR screens. I wish it was like that though. (1 Hour ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Mostly what you can see is a richer color palette due to a wider color gamut and bloom/brightness. Though it's not the same, unfortunately. (1 Hour ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts You can see it here in both the "Nano Cell" and "HDR" sections on this LG TV: [url] It's still not the same as watching in person. SDR screens can't show HDR. (1 Hour ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @Moonwalker: Yes, you can see a difference, but only on colors and bloom. It's the same type of thing that TV manufacturers use to describe what HDR is with images. same. (1 Hour ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @droezelke: Trust me though, the phone camera photos are pretty representatitve of how they look here. (6 Hours ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @droezelke: Yeah my bad. But i fixed it: [url] (6 Hours ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke @Moonwalker: That's not a fair comparison. You show an absolute in-game compared to a photo of a TV screen. If I take a picture of my tv... (7 Hours ago)
