Page 1 2 >>The demo was pretty lame. Only two races and two preset cars. Well, that's £40 off my Christmas list.
i couldn't stay on the track
got it?
Need for Speed ProCrap
The screenshots did not look believeable but the in game the graphics are very good.
Nice effects and very few jaggies.
Gameplay was pretty good, very rather easy. Hard to tell what the finished product will be like but I was pretty impressived. Looks like a nice fun game to see me through Xmas.

Waaaait wait wait. Let me get this straight: The demo only lets you do two races with only two cars and that right there is how you somehow decided to skip it? How does that even correlate?? That's about what you get to play with most racing demos. What do you expect, half the game to be available?
The first event was rather good all in all and as long as you stay on the tarmac the physics are nice enough... once you go outside.... hmm.
Most likely a second hand buy from me, but I would really like the framedrops to go away.
Strange i didn't get off track not a single time and i think that the opponents where way too slow.
Actually this one was the best looking, best running and best handling of the so called next-gen NFS iterations.
Not a buy since NFS hasnt been worth a dime since the first The Need For Speed (which actually tried to be a simulation at the time), but props for the superb visuals and upgraded handling (in the second race).
The speed race was some twitchy driving though, you could move the stick a maximum of two millimeters. Crazy twitchy but more than manageable. Not racing but more like flying a bullet through a forest.
Went with KING from the get-go knowing that NFS = uber arcade.
To sum up my ramble:
-Superb graphics with great AA and smoke effects
-Steady 30fps framerate with only a few EA-stutters here and there
-Satisfactory heavy handling in the lap race. Cars have wheels in each corner now!
-Realistic-ish crashes are back after 10+ years!
Graphics are cool, specially the smoke at the beggining from the tires :)
But gameplay felt horrible.
I loved the smoke effects they look cool and overall the graphics look really nice!
Framerate issues? What issues I didnt notice any! It was running smooth for me the few races I played!
