Xbox 360 PS2 Xbox

Just in time for the season ending of the last season, EA Sports today announced that Alexander Ovechkin will be the cover boy for NHL 07. They also released a bunch of X360 images, together with some other images and a PC/PS2/XB trailer. The X360 version looks great, and hopefully it be a greater difference between the old version and this than NHL 2K6 was.

That looks alright, I don't know about player likeness though as I don't watch hockey.

It's really sad to see that NHL games are like the only ones that are really having trouble keeping up with the pace. I really hoped EA would do something about this. Oh well, there's always a NHL 08...

Isn't NHL the lesser of the major US sports? I would imagine that dictates the budget and staff working on the franchise.

It's an early build and will definitely get better upon time;)

You're right, both look mediocre. Here in Poland no one really cares about hockey, so it doesn't matter to me.:)

Here in Canada hockey rules all... I'm surprised that EA Canada hasn't put more effort into the game...

I wish they'd show screenshots/vids of the camera angle that you actually play the game in... I hate when they just show close ups from the replay mode...

It's not about effort it's about budget, EA or 2K don't see the profit in making it look better.

EA's hockey offering has been a piece of junk for years now. The 2K series is far and away alot more realistic, but it still suffers as well.

Hockey needs alot more than graphical upgrades... like true multiplayer online. 5 vs. 5 on 10 different XBOX's.

The skin looks great. The lighting still needs work though, and why are there still no textures on the ice?

this is one of the 360 games am looking forward to the most.I hope they add an online league of some sort and please for god sake dont take away the swedish league from the list.The swedish hockey league is the league in my heart!! :D
