My friend Arms over at xboxnext.jpn.org sent me this video he recorded off Ninety Nine Nights' demo. This time we get a glimpse at a brand new CG video in the beginning, followed by the usual level from TGS.
Great vid, best so far. Thanks!
Would like to say the person playing this, looked quite
decent and still only managed a 791 max combo.

You will see someone as 47000 (yes thousand). So there must be huge battles in this game,
I'm very sure that they said that The Outfit Demo would be online the 3rd march! I'm in UK, so not really expecting it till the morning, since USA is about 6/7 hours behind :P! Hope it does come on soon :p
Dling the vid! I really hope that we'll get an N3 demo :)
It looks to me like they downgraded the graphics. :( The armor for Inphyy isn't as shiny, and the environments practically have no lighting compared to the pics below.
The ground texture, lighting, and shadowing in the latest vid definitely don't look no where near as good as the old TGS video. Man, I hate graphical downgrades, and I think this might be a result of them adding more characters onscreen. I can really care less about the amount of the characters right now, especially if it takes a graphical hit in what makes the game look next-gen.
Vspectra, I have to totally agree with you on that one, the old video pictures really do look next gen. Adding a few more characters on the screen that im going to smash away in a few seconds flat and never notice plus loosing texture quality is not what I wanted to see. Id rather loose a few enemies on screen and have it look awsome with that next gen feel than have it look like an Xbox game with alot of enemies packing the screen.
I think you guys might be wrong about the floor textures :)
In that old video we are seeing the thing right there on an hdtv... whereas here we don't exactly have that luxury of seeing it in such a way plus the screenshots are blurry and none go as close in terms of camera view as what we see there.
I think in the final game those nice floor textures will still be there similar to what I saw mizuguchi playing on the official ninety nine nights website. Better quality video btw ;)
You're wrong vspectra06. It takes just as much shader power to draw a faint shadow as it does to draw a deep one. Merely altering the lighting in the map from cloudy to partially sunny would change shadows from light to deep and add shine to reflective materials at the correct angle.
Some blurry wmv with a keyframe every two minutes is hardly the best way to determine if the earth texture (that is desperately being macroblocked then de-blocked by a filter to prioritise bitrate to sharper edges and motion elsewhere in the scene) is the same or worse.
Based on this new video your worries are unfounded.

Those were very low quality pics so I aint gonna compare.
*sees cg=wow*
*the huge amount of enemies on screen=wow*
*huge combos=wow*
Mighty impressive combo with huge slowdow (i'd say single digits easily)=*shakes head*
Uhhh...The one thing that bothers me the most is the AI. She basically ran through 4-5 densely packed enemy groups before she unleashed her powers. It's too brainless? MS probably won't get Jap love until Blue Dragon and Lost Oddysey. Hopefully Chromehounds brings some heat.
Is it me, or does anyone else not even care about cg video anymore. I find that using the 360's graphic power for the entire game more attractive. Sometimes the cgi characters don't look anything like the in-game models. I say it's a waste of time considering what this generation is offering.
I think the mindlessness of the early enemies will be like that or SLIGHTLY better in the final, but then later they will be all over your ass like the monsters were in god of war.
guys don't worry about the slowdown, this is the old old tgs demo...just look at the latest HD trailer released, the textures/lighting/framerate are top notch

Can't compare them they are two totally different builds, notice the life bar and hud is in a different position.
Seems Clear to me that the Top screens are from a newer build than the bottom the demo is from the playable TGS demo, which is probably not the same as the TGS video.
COMPLETELY forgot you can fight against 1000 dragons in this game as well....
Each character will have 30-40 moves so this thing wont be getting repetitive and the missions change depending on your level so this game seems to have tons of lasting appeal.
Other orbs affect units, houses and buildings. So it's almost like a nuclear bomb. It involves everything.
So for example, when player use that old spark, thousands of characters, thousands of trees and thousands of logs can blew up together.
Also what we saw in that video was practically a day time level.... and apparently we'll be doing most of our fighting during the night time and I forgot about the mystery 7th character we can use... I wonder who it is???
Could it be the girl in the purple we've seen? Or maybe its the mysterious warrior the girl was looking at that statue, maybe he's not dead or something?
