Our PC videos of Skyrim Dawnguard

The first add-on for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, entitled Dawnguard is now available on PC via Steam. Thus we offer you some videos from the start of this new adventure until you have to choose your new faction. All the videos were captured with several installed mods, details and links after the click.

With these graphic mods I also use an ENB profile that I edited, based on a version from HD6.
Here is a link to my ENB profile, you just have to extract it in the game's folder, the archive contains several performance and render options.
By default it needs a high graphic power (SSAO, SSIL and SkyLighting enabled), other variants needs les power.

Note that the colors are set to match my screen colorspace, so it can be a little bluish or yellowish on some screens.
Also, ENB is not compatible with tools showing information on screen like MSI Afterburner, it can causes the game not to start or crash upon start.

Why? This isn't an official video. This is a gamersyde original.. and frankly.. everyone knows what vanilla looks like.

Vanilla was shown in the first videos when Skyrim was just released, we made videos from PC and Xbox 360 versions.

I've played a lot of Skyrim since, installed many mods, then I wanted to show it with all the mods I use as it looks way better than Vanilla, IMO :)

So is vanilla Skyrim ugly or something? I've never played the game but these videos make me want to get it. What is Skyrim Nexus and steam workshop? In order for the game to look like these videos do you need to install just Skyrim Nexus mod?

Nexus is a website and mod manager for bethesda's modern games (Oblivion, Fallout 3, Skyrim, etc). I think it's a bit easier to use to manage and install mods versus the Steam Workshop personally. But they are two different routes to the same goal. And no, Skyrim vanilla doesn't look ugly, but mods can definitely make it look better. Vanilla Skyrim does have some pretty ugly textures though :D

If you don't know how to install mods, the best way is to use Steam Workshop.

Most of the mods I use are from Nexus, but when Steam Workshop was brought to Skyrim, most of the mods I use were ported to the Workshop.

With the Workshop all you have to do is subscribe to a mod, then next time you will launch Skyrim it will download/update all the mods you've subscribed to.

I love Skyrim and I love its graphics even without this add-on. IMO its looking great. And now its even better. :-)

not really,I think skyrim pc should be shown with mods,since it really improve the performance and graphic

It's funny how the "realistic lighting" mod I downloaded for Skyrim improved the performance notably running on my crappy laptop. And it improved the visuals as well I might add. The HD texture pack I downloaded from Nexus was much smaller than the original as well.

Running Skyrim on PC without mods is a crime. The game looks gorgeous even on low settings with just a few tweaks.
