Okami Wii artworks

Okami Wii artworks

A true surprise during the Gamers Day 2007 from Capcom, the announcement of an Okami port from developer Ready at Dawn for the Nintendo Wii shows himself through these artworks. The legend of god-wolf Amaterasu, with low sales on the Playstation 2, will have a second chance to howl using the Wiimote. With its movements, the penmanship with brushes, an essential element of the game, will be used with more immersion. Planned for 2008.

Ive seen this on PS2 a while back, thought the visuals looked beautiful. If this plays well on Wii I'll have to pick that up!

Great news. I really hope a this wonderful game gets more attention by going to the Wii. It's a real shame so few people bought this for the PS2.

This game will be a great substitute for all the Zelda lovers who own a Wii.

Nice to see that the port is in good hands. I really like the Ready at Dawn studios, they made wonderful job with the Daxter on the PSP, and the new God of War looks awesome as well.

What's the point of this? Why show us art works which we've seen before? Show us how the game looks on Wii so we can see how good your coders are Capcom! ;)

LoL, all these characters are main characters in the original game. I hope they'll add some stuff in Okami.
Also, this game should play great with Wiimote. Horrible accuracy of PS2 analogue sticks were driving me insane in this game.

I'd kill to see this ported over to PS3 or X360, to see the artistry in all its gloriness, AA applied, 1080p.... that would be awesome. But, seeing as I never got round to completing the PS2 version (which had no progressive scan and widescreen), I'd be happy to see it at 480p on the Wii at least. I doubt they'll be adding any extra quests or locations, but I'm not too bothered about that. The game world was pretty large as it was.

Oh and the original PS2 version sold terribly. A hugely underrated game. I hope this gives it another chance so that we may see another Okami game sometime in the future.

Ôkami PS2 played on the PS3 is really beautiful - I got the game ,but well I didn't have time to play it much yet , because I'm still at finishing the other PS2 titles I bought to play on my PS3 (never had a PS2) , but it definately is a beauty in 720p with AA

hopefully this will sell well on the Wii , because thir game really deserves commercial success

Thought it looked nice but the gameplay was pretty average at best, so won't be getting it eiter way.

... Would you be willing to sell your PS3 as it is obviously a special edition? Some how yours has managed to boost Okami up to 720p and add AA, unbelievable!! I'll start the bidding at $1000.

i wish twilight princess was this good and had this amount of artistic charm. loved this game on the ps2. if the wii version doesnt have more complex and interesting use of the celestial brush though its pretty much a wasted oppertunity. i had no problems with the analogue based brush strokes of the ps2 version since they where practically all circle based (due to the limitations of the analogue sticks) the wii however should be able to be far more in depth and interesting. this game deserves a lot more commercial success then what it has currently. i doubt its going to revive clover studios even if it does sell well. but at least this amazing game gets played by more people.
