I bet the vast majority of you guys forgot all about Operation Darkness, a japanese SRPG announced quite some time ago. I admit I'm of those, so I was a bit surprised when I saw this series of new images. As a reminder, this is a strategy role playing game taking place in an alternate WWII setting with fantasy elements like wereworf nazis, SAS troops with magical powers...

I haven't forgotten about it, I'm very much looking forward to it. It's not the most gorgeous looking game, but thankfully, looks aren't everything.

Although werewolf nazis almost sound worth the price of admission, it's rather sad to see the lengths they'll go to to appeal to the "global market". I hope to god the 360 takes off in japan so we won't have to endure more of these misdirected flirts with a western audience.

Looks terrible but that's just my opinion. I just don't understand why all the pics that come from japan are in a 1/3rd the resolution the game will be in. I think some of these devs are back in the ps2 era.

im sorry to say this but the jap dev teams when the 360 launched were released poor images like this that looked like ps2... then they started getting wicked (Lost Odyssey for instance) and now we're back to low resolution poor graphics? What happened

but then again to be honest - http://www.gamersyde.com/pop_image.html?G=5977&N=1... - looks like it could actually be cool... yet, at this low resolution and with no inmotion gameplay its impossible to tell the low res images just make it look bad really...

Are u telling me that this is a "game" worth playing in all other aspects? As far as i´ve read here we have only stated something OBVIOUS: graphics suck. They better compensate that with a hell of a good gameplay or the game will worth nothing.

Yes graphics arent everything; but they ARE a part of the game. If they dont want us to value the graphics why the hell do they public this kind of screens.

Quit the "graphic whore" excuse... like if u ever played this game already and we arent considering it on the whole.... we are just stating the crappy graphics the game has... the rest is still to come.

1) Japanese developers still don't do press well-check out any game website and compare it to Bioware's

2) Its a SJRPG-graphics are not really that important

HEHE.. tough luck for you. This actually means it is more succesfull then the Normal Xbox. You often have titles like this, they are comparable to our budget titles. THe PS2 also had things like this, there is no getting around it ;).

It doesn't look horrible... still not that great, but if it were to come to North America... i'd probably pick it up for $30-40, I love me some S-RPGs, it reminds me of a WWII era, on foot Front Mission game =P
