Operation Darkness to the west

Operation Darkness to the west

Atlus has announced that they are bringing Operation Darkness to the US, with a launch in June and a demo in early May. We have some images from the western localized version of the game inside, in it's full 1080p "glory" - as graphics isn't exactly this game's strong point. The assets were also sent out to European press folks, so here's hoping for a release in Europe too.

Is it the game with werewolves? If it is, I'll buy it, I liked what I saw of it.

Wow... talk about blurry... lol... I hate it when games look like they scaled up from 480p. looks kind of retro... What kind of game is it exactly? Turn based?

If I remember it correctly, it's a WW2 role-playing strategy game. Think Advance Wars with... for some reason, I have AW associated with this game back in my head, don't know why. Your squad gain levels, you have officers that seem to be main characters, and then different types of soldiers (snipers, demolition) is used. It's not a huge 2000 men on screen war game. Check out the earlier trailers on the game page, should explain it.

They should have really, really gone with a 2D route. Would have probably cost the same to make, yet would look so much better.

For the first time ever I have to complain about graphics. I completely agree with you. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be upscaled or film grain, but these shots(other than the menu screens) make my eyes hurt and have nearly given me a headache. And it really takes a lot for a game to make me feel this way.
