Really looking forward to this now in 2015 after playing the Alpha. I do hope they add more dynamic events to upset the 4 player team, maybe something like the horde event on L4D but with monsters.

The potential of this game is limited by a few minor flaws, such as the amount of maps, the non-randomization of map layouts which allow for map-huging, or map-memory, to dominate. If you couple this with a system of maximum level out weighing the benefits of lower levels, only a few options such as micro-transactions or consistent DLC will keep this from being a monotonous style game.

It can definitely be fun and have its moments, but whether or not it is more than just a one-trick pony will have to be seen when its released. The model of this game reminds me of Tribes Ascend, not so much for the leveling, but for the question of what is left to do when you're max level.

Is it my webplayer acting up or do the game have a few major drops below 60?

GriftGFX And plenty of those examples are online PVP games too. Quake Champions probably isn't one of them :D (7 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @MrWhite: No, not really. There are loads of examples of games with microtransactions that don't influence the game design or pollute the basic user experience. (7 Hours ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite Could you imagine back when arena shooters like Q3A were very popular, and the cunts introduced pay to win bollocks like EA, 2k, Activision et al are doing? Imagine what that would have done. (10 Hours ago)

MrWhite meanwhile on the other end, some kid who just bought the game is playing as Wigan, but they're playing like Real Madrid and giving your superstars a tanking. Time to dip into your pocket to buy packs (10 Hours ago)

MrWhite Online play is so heavily scripted, your team inexplicably feels like a bunch of fat pub players in a sunday league side, and you're supposed to be in control of world class athletes (10 Hours ago)
