F1 2013 was released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC last week and as usual, we captured a bunch of gameplay 1080p/60fps videos of the PC version of the game. The classic mode is the main new feature this year, which is why most of the footage we're shwing is focused on this mode. That being said, we've also added a video of the scenario mode.
The driving sensations with a racing wheel is really good again, especially with "Classic" vehicles with which we must adopt a different driving style compared to modern ones that are a little more permissive. Indeed, the cars of the eighties require more caution while accelerating and braking, otherwise you quickly head-to-tail or shoot straight blocking the wheels.
The videos were captured without any driving assists, manual transmission, with a Logitech G27. The AI was set to the fourth out of five difficulty levels.
That gamasutra articles doesn't mention either MNC or DirtyBomb though. So I think we can agree that people tend to overlook gaps in the genre's history. This shit did not kick off with Battleborn/OW. (12 minutes ago)
OW and DirtyBomb are not MOBA-light games. They are team FPS games that have heroes. (20 minutes ago)
DirtyBomb did something that was at the time unique. You could not call it unique anymore. (21 minutes ago)
@Tinks: I know you think that. But they're not really the same genre. (22 minutes ago)
I could be wrong, but I think the first MNC really did just have classes and no overlapping roles. Think they added "pros" in the sequel. (22 minutes ago)
some lean more moba, or more tower defense, or more shooter, but I think everything we're talking about is connected (33 minutes ago)
Surely you can spot the differences. (38 minutes ago)
