Our PC videos of Life is Strange

Our PC videos of Life is Strange

After two rather lonely livestreams yesterday, now is time to watch some direct feed videos of the game. Again, this is the PC version we're showing you guys today, played with a 360 controller. Although we haven't had time to fully complete this first episode yet, we really enjoyed what we've played so far, making it hard for us to stop after restarting the game a third time. We took our time and spent more than two hours in DONTNOD's new world. We can only advise you to try out the demo if you need convincing, but as for us, we can't wait to see more.

Blackwell Academy
The Bathroom
Choices and Students

Sorry I wasn't able to catch the Dying Light livestream, got caught up in something unexpected and when I came to Gamersyde, the stream was over.

As for Life is Strange's livestream, I just don't want to be spoiled of anything, wanna have a full (almost) fresh experience, normally I wait till 5 episodes are out so I don't have to wait between episodes, but the urge to play it is strong.

Thanks for the effort you guys put into the livestreams and sorry I couldn't be there for the Dying Light one.

You can still watch the Dying Light replay and don't worry about Life is Strange. With the game already released, the potential spoilers for those who were interested and the existence of a demo on consoles, we didn't think there would be that many people anyway.

How can get the demo? There is nothing on Steam.

edit: Nevermind, demo is only for consoles, as Driftwood wrote in last post.

Yes I hadn't checked if the demo was available on PC before I wrote the news article. Sorry about that.

You guys should put it on the announcements tab. It hardly ever changes colour, so when it does, I'm instantly intrigued. :D

Nowadays everyone is going to make the telltale-like games?

Why not, everyone else is doing first/third person shooters.

Nowadays everyone is going to make the telltale-like games?
So... a couple of companies decide to make adventure games, instead of twitch-style games (retro platformers, shooters, 1-button flaps, etc..etc...) and now there's a FLOOD of "telltale-like games"??!?

Such narrow thinking.

I applaud the diversity in genres and choices out there nowadays.

About the game

What's up?
  • droezelke
droezelke @Tiz: It's about not knowing what will be in the lootcrate. That makes it possibly addictive. And EA went for pay-to-win. That is gambling. (1 minute ago)
  • rayy
rayy @Tiz: Agree. People want to punish others well implement methods because of EA stupidity. (49 minutes ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz EA lost their minds and went full greed. $60 buy-in with P2W microtransactions, and an unholy grind? I'm not surprised by the pushback but it's impossible to tar everything with the same brush. (54 minutes ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz If you don't have the time but want the stuff, then you pay. If you do have the time and want the stuff, then you grind. (57 minutes ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz I think this whole thing is being blown out of proportion. EA over-stepped with BF2, but the method to unlocking stuff in most games is fine based on a time vs money scenario. (58 minutes ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke This is a stupid move by ESA. They are now distancing themselves more and more from their customers. They are spitting in their faces. Apparently the signal to EA wasn't clear enough. (1 Hour ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke And now Australia sees lootboxes as gambling. You know who doesn't? ESA, the entertainment software association which is EA, Activision, Ubisoft, Sony, Nintendo, MS... (1 Hour ago)
