It never occurred to me that a the PC version release is this much later than the console version, I mean, it's a cross platform game from a third party developer, why the delaying?

It was delayed to improve the port.

Not the game itself unfortunately. ;p

It is unfortunate... I was hoping for an improvement from their first game but it seems like they went backwards.

I've tried the game yesterday, but all those damn - and unskippable - videos made it very boring, very fast. Why do they do that? Intro - drive 20 ft. - movie - turn tires -> movie.

The gameplay itself is as boring as the videos. You have no sense of speed. The car may be driving 180kmph, but it sure as hell doesn't feel like it.

Too bad, because I was looking forward to it, and the game does look nice. Anyhow, this is a pass for me.

Exactly. I reinstalled NFS: Underground 1 few weeks ago, and it amazed me with the sense of speed, even 80 km/h felt _fast_. And every car turn or speed change made me feel it, even without any haptic feedback.

NFSU 1 has a sense of danger and physics. Modern NFS games lack physics VERY much.

P.S. NFS: Shift was a sim, but I'm talking about fun arcade physics, which still has to work well.

Wow. This looks terrible. This looks like a low budget entry from a no-name company. No sense of speed coupled with the wonky driving physics and disappointing visuals really make this one a turd of a port.

Yeah, but not like Midnight Club: LA. I want another Dub Edition Remix type. LA just wasn't the same.

About the game

What's up?

KORNdog @Moonwalker: i'd like them to make the story make some sense and be complete before adding any of this side stuff. It was such a disjointed mess (8 minutes ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @Moonwalker: Because the side quests in this one...hoo boy....the worst kind of fetch bullshit there is. (57 minutes ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @KORNdog: Can't argue with that, it really was quite a disappontment in the end. If they would annouce that they are actually adding fun and meaningful side quests....that be great and sorely needed. (57 minutes ago)

KORNdog @alimokrane: just get the samsung we keep recommending. it's honestly the best bang for buck you can get. you can get better sets, but you will pay the price. and it seem your budget isnt very high. (1 Hour ago)

alimokrane @KORNdog: It's so confusing man.. I have been slaving for a week for a decent 4kt TV and I keep hitting all these little things and it's annoying lol. (1 Hour ago)

KORNdog that's all i really understand of it. seems HDR10 is what most TV's have though, so you're probably safe with that. (2 Hours ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog a dolby featured one can still do HDR10. but it doesnt work the other way around. also dolby's goes up to 4000nits (arguably future proof but no TV supports it yet) and HDR10 goes up to 1000 nits. (2 Hours ago)
