GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

Some of you may have thought we were part of a big conspiracy aiming at increasing the sales of the PS4 Pro, but the reason why we could not show more more base PS4 footage of games was basically much simpler, and much less interesting for us - wink at our dearly beloved ex-but-maybe soon-to-be-again patron, wink, wink. In fact, we just couldn't handle the PS4 coverage as well as we wanted because the flow of releases we had to cover at the end of 2016, and the different things going on in our lives in early 2017. If you thought that For Honor didn't look and run great on the good old PS4, you're in for a big surprise. Check out our footage inside, or wait until our PC videos are ready if that's what you've been waiting for since Tuesday - oh another wink, enough to make you feel really special!

After watching Pro and Base videos consecutively, here are my views:

- Game looks great on both (side by side comparisons ought to show differences)
- Frame-rate performance seems great on base (from the sample provided) as well on Pro (expected)
- The contrast profile on Pro capture looks comparatively flatter than Base one. Perhaps the disparity arises out of in-game settings or method of capture (or something else entirely)

Thanks for uploading the videos, driftwood.

He probably means here on GSY
It'll improve on Steam too I bet.
Ubi tends to have issues with getting their games off the ground, not to mention fully functional through Uplay

Mixed on Steam sure is raving.
70% of users having left positive reviews for a new Ubisoft game is actually impressive. Not as impressive as having 100k+ peak players for a new IP + fighting game on PC. That's just remarkable.

That people are still crying about UPlay on Steam is predictable. The positive reviews are fairly.. positive.

That's Steam. The game is also on Uplay and has an in-game population statistic. It's peaking over 100k.

And of course it's going to drop off. This is an insane number for this kind of game. These are bigger than BF1 numbers. A popular shooter franchise on PC. I suspect it's doing even better on consoles. It's pretty indisputable: For Honor is a hit.

Very disappointed with that game tbh. Great GFX and animation but fighting itself is extremely boring...for me that is. Characters look badass and all You want to do is some crazy things but what You get is few moves, blocks and no way to feel good.

The main complaint I see in many reviews is unstable netcode due to p2p and an actual pay to win microtransactions. "Ubisoft offers a complete level-skip, which you can go straight to unlocking everything" to quote one of the top steam reviews.

It does bother me when mediocre games made by companies that utilize every scummiest business decision are being heralded as the hottest hit of the month. Ubisoft's been on par with EA and Activision since long ago.

Well, I wouldn't call it bad per se. But I had way more fun playing both Hyrule Warriors and any of the Dynasty Warriors safe first one. Not to mention Mount and Blade.

For Honour just misses that fun factor for me. It's a game about looking at the HUD and battling with unwieldy controls. I actually got GTAIV flashbacks when I couldn't get on the stairs without bumping into the wall.

Actually, I would call game's main idea pretty ingenious. It's 'how you imagine history' instead of what it actually was. General public couldn't care less about historical accuracy, but would eagerly swallow anything that is 'cool'.

I personally find the whole premise a tad retarded, especially when they could've easily made it even wackier and more fun, but I guess they really want to ride that fine line of Marvel's 'we'll make comic book heroes hip with bros and hoes' cool.

So you are comparing a competitive 3rd person melee combat game to friggin Dynasty Warriors? You clearly don't even understand what the game is about. Dynasty Warriors just lacks the fun factor, Family Feud on the SNES controls waaay better and is so much fun!
