Batman - The Telltale Series was released last week and since we were sent a PC code to prepare a bunch of videos for you guys, here is some direct feed footage captured in the very beginning of this first episod. As you'll see, the new engine is a pretty nice addition, though don't expect a major leap from the previous games of the studio. Enough talk, enjoy the videos of the promising debut of Telltale's version of thte Caped Crusader.

This is performing horrifically on consoles based on the DF article. Its sub HD on xbox 1 and not a ton better on PS4....Telltale need to slow down with their releases and actually hire people who know what they're doing and actually care. Lol.

Not a lot better on PC. What went wrong, Telltale? It doesn't even look THAT better compared to their previous games. Outdated engine, maybe? Or programmers' incompetence?

Nah those programmers are haunted by the ghosts of the Sega Saturn and Sony PlayStation 3 dev tools.

When the PC version is in trouble you have to wonder out loud...it's not like they didn't make tons of money on Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and now Batman...

I'm so upset about the state of this game. This game is actually using their NEW engine that was supposed to fix all the problems their older games had. But the same performance issues, same controller bugs on PC... I will not continue to give Telltale my money.

From what they were saying, the animation was due to the engine itself. Just the way the engine handled animation in general and especially transitions. They said this new engine (before they ever showed anything of Batman) would allow them to make much more natural looking animations. But, it all looks the same. And has the same types of ridiculous bugs and performance issues as every Telltale game of the last few years. I'd be especially pissed if I were a console player of these titles. Those resolutions and frame rates are absolutely unacceptable for a game that will wind up being ported to iOS... At least if I decide to play it (hopefully) my future 1080 will be able to brute force it to run well.
