Russian Play Ten released one image each of The Precursors and White Gold in preparation for GC. Both titles are planned to be released next year on PC and Xbox 360.
The Precursors, i must confess, is hitting my nerve of "lack and must play" those old PC hybrids that i was so fond of.
The trailers for that one look... that its going in the right direction.

The games look really sucky though. One fun thing to notice however is that when games with a stylized color palette are shown people go "omg gray and brown towne is here!!!" but when this colorful shit comes along you still just bash it anyway :)
The second pic looks like it could be any goddamn shooter only that the ammount of DoF is silly and the color palette though. And i do believe that the colors in the precursor pic are also a factor. If the colors and lighting were different it might look creepy instead of like a teletubbie riding Barney around.
white gold looks good - you need to give it a try... boiling point was a big shit cause of bugs but they got fixed in patch 2.0 so - i wonder how will this run on xbox360 or maybe they will be releasing updates weekly
The trailer I saw of Precursors actually looks pretty damn cool! Ok, the graphics are subpar...but the diversity in gameplay and environments kind of make up for it. Despite the poor graphics and despite me being a graphics whore, that game has me intrigued!
Though, after finding out the devs of Boiling Point are behind this...I'm not so sure anymore. There was just so much wrong with that game, seriously. I just hated it when you started to get into a fight, because then that horrible music started playing and the NPC's wouldn't stop screaming and shouting the same shit over and over again. God, that game was so annoying. I won't even mention the shooting/driving/controlling mechanics. [/rant]

Unfortunately, you are right, but has it not been for all those bugs, Boiling Point would probably be remembered as one of the best PC games of recent times. White Gold is actually a sequel to Boiling Point and I have high hopes for both games.
The Precursors screenshot looks OK and the White Gold screenshot looks pretty good to me. Maybe it's because I'm not allergic to colourful arcadey graphics?
Anyone who played Boiling Point after applying all the patches wouldn't say it was crap. I'm glad they are bringing it to consoles and hopefully they will make some money
Boiling Point was a pretty fun game, glitchy but fun and deserves much credit IMO for the ambition showed, I'd much rather play something like that than the latest generic corridor shooter with shiny graphics and no substance.

Yeah, sound s like something a game might do, though i still thinks it's stupid. Let the player determine what he wants to focus on. If you as the player is watching the reload animation you won't see what's going on in the BG anyways.
