Page 1 2 >>The art direction has me to think of 1 thing, Mass Effect with a tiny touch of Star Wars 2 were they hunt the assassin.
I am super happy that we play as a bounty hunter and not some generic space marine.
Hopefully the character is somewhat similair to Riddick but less arrogant lol
If the trailer has any hint of what the gameplay is gonna be like then wow!
The running momentum, the awesome high tech scanner for various into, the boots...etc. crazy stuff!
IMO, this could very well be one of my favorite sci fi games if done well, along with the awesome Mass Effect series.
I can not see one single negative thing from this (until gameplay).
Now I hated the direction Prey 1 was, but I am glad they changed it into this, has more heavy sci fi to it and cooler and sleeker look.
Definitely hyped up for this title, like the main character design as well, has that Sam Fisher flare to it.
All that said, it looks AWESOME! I've always wanted to play a great Bounty Hunter game set in a Blade Runner-esq world, on an alien planet, all with Johnny Cash covering Soundgarden in the background.
One day we'll have graphics like that...and when the day comes, I'll be ready. :P
Just because Johnny Cash is singing his tune in the trailer doesnt mean its western.
Its Mass Effect style.
Futuristic western? where did you get that from? lol

Its like Pitch Black, the marshal was going for Riddick, but then he wasent a marshal at all, he was a bounty hunter and a junkie.

But it has no western touch to it, its not the "cowboy" western/sci fi, but I definitely can see the whole sheriff, deputy (badge in the trailer), that is cool.
I dont understand why he has that badge since he is a bounty hunter, ah well.
I love the concept of it compared to the boring generic soldiers we get to play these days.
I just see law and badges, well not the type of cowboy/sci-fi type.

I think I read that Prey 2 isnt about the same character at all, pretty much a reboot.
Its all here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prey_%28video_game%29
I thought you mean Tommy hehe.
I found the plot into http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prey_2
Hmm, well it sounds interesting to say the least.
But I am glad we are playing as a space bounty hunter, love the idea.
Yeah, it certainly seems rather far removed from the original game. The trailer was pretty cool thoguh, very nice visauls. I'm hoping that they tie the two games together in some way though, even if it's something so simple as leaving hints to that it is in fact the same universe.
If the CGI is any hint with how they implemented first person view into the gameplay, it would be awesome.
Have Mirrors Edge + action shooter + augmented character features + Mass Effect art direction, perfect really.
As much as I wish they could show it off at E3, I am sure we have to settle down with the trailer we got and get something later.
You're reading way too much into a CG trailer. You should not be trying to identify gameplay here. Hints, sure.. but seriously.. you're just setting yourself up for a let down.
I am just saying, IF the CGI is ANY "hint" of various ideas of elements the gameplay will offer, then great.
Thats all I am saying, nothing more, nothing less.
I have no idea how the gameplay will be like, nobody knows, so I am not expecting CGI to cross over to gameplay lol
