It's not a good sign. I can't put Bullet Witch behind me. We only knew of the game just a few short months before its release, and its quality failed to meet many peoples' expectations.
This game doesn't shout quailty to me.
Even Blue Dragon at least gave us about a few moments of those in its recycled trailers. Even Lost Odyssey had a couple of scans in Famitsu.
Has Sylpheed ever even appeared in gameplay form on print before? That is, it seems almost as if no one got to preview the game at all.
Things are looking down.
BTW, what kinda gameplay does sylpheed have? Havn't played any earlier titles on the franchise.
Bullet witch got released already? Bummer, thought it was a WIP. So I was expecting some improvements...

You choose your weapon arsenal before each level: one weapon for the left wing, one for the right wing. You can use twice the same or do a combo. You get rockets, auto-aim missles, vulcan canon, plasma ball, flail/spear,laser and such thing... enemies are more or less vulnerable to each, and choosing wisely is a must if you wish to do well in the levels (specialy if you aim to 1cc the game). The more you advance, the more powerful the weapons become (bigger range/damage etc)
right now, senko no ronde is really keeping me busy! it's fun, and the online matches are cool. i need to find real people to play with, though.
Still no gameplay shots? Two weeks before launch?

Bulletwitch was an amazing game as well, I have more faith in gamearts to create a solid title then I did with caviat.
In anycase, this game is my only must buy title until blue dragon is released here in november or december. Only a little over a week to go until it hits the stores.
