no in a tech demo u usually see only one high detailed objec with hight polycount and lightning effects that all power of machine focus on. but in a real game u must have more objects...
sorry for my english :(

You want an example of how powerful Cell is? Here: 16000 chickens

lol you can`t compare those chickens with soldiers on 99nights because i think every chicken at this demo easily have 1/500 polycount and details of 99nights soldiers without attention to enviroment and other objects.

Well even if there were 10,000 soldiers on screen in 99 nights (I'm pretty sure there isnt) They all basically moved Exactly the same, and sometime even in unison.

well, now that I actually watched and 'LISTENED' to the fish trailer... it's 5000 fish, 3 different species, at 30 fps.

Did you guys even turn your sound up?

Keep in mind that its the Cell alone that is providing the graphics for that demo, and even if they are that low a poly count, they're most definitely smarter than the 99 Nights soldiers. (Not that 99 Nights isnt a cool game, because it is)

ok but keep in mind the majority of games these days are far more GPU bound than CPU bound and 99nights is a realy game with A.I and advanced visuals+sound effects that all of those share a place of cpu power, anyway u are a sony fanboy and u think ps3 is more powerfull than xbox360 but that think is false.good luck

Hey man, that's not cool. Before you start calling people fanboys and whatnot, I think you should take a look at ur own posts and gain some perspective.

I think 99 Nights is a great looking game, I didnt mean to sound like I was bashing it.

Anyways, I dont want to get banned so that's all Im gonna say.

Awful draw distance on some of these, I'm terribly bored by tech demos like this but I realise they have to sell Cell (arf) to other users because it wasn't specfically made for the PS3 like people assume.

The chicken video is running on a dual cell server blade AFAIK and they mention it will run
on any multicore system.

99 nights is a good game, but it doesn't have 2000 or 10000 enemies at the screen and not every individual enemy has their own AI or anything. They all act in the same way.

The game is good, but you can't use it to compare cell's power. Cell has alot of power, these technical demos aren't actual game footage, they are simply technical demos showcasing the power the next gen or cell has.

Didn't you see the footage where cell was able to process a brain scan within 2 mins or so..which normally takes 1 hr to do. Or was it an entire head? whatever the case, the power is quite incredible.

Xbox360 does have a really powerful core as well, 99 nights isn't the true potential of the xbox360..future games will be better, maybe 99 nights 2? But technical side, both consoles are pretty powerful and showcasing alot of potential.

cell is a revolutionary chip that is going to be in everything, hospitals, new televisions, other entertainment units, ps3's cell is modified to accomadate the console..it isn't the true cell.

Whatever the case , these technical videos are impressive, and it shows what a great time it is to be a gamer.. xbox360 and ps3 owners are in for a treat.

Once more detail is added to the background, and the games is playable, and more scripting is done, it won't be quite as good.

Actually N3 has 2000+ characters on screen quite often. More if you count the fact that dead bad guys don't disappear.

Atcually the creator said that in the finale version they gonna have 2000 instead of 500 at screen as in the demo, and it would be no problem to adding.
