tbh i dont think we will get a great looking call of duty till they dump the 360 and ps3 and just make it for xbox one and ps4

the space part looks ok but the rest looks bland, battlefield 4 beats this hands down

lol what the hell is that in gameplay 4

im sorry but the running looks stupid specially when you see the hand movements of your character never changing :/ lol specially when jumping across and getting stuck half way, normally your character grabs on the ledge and pulls himself up but NO he just continues his same hand movements lol

I just find it hilarious that they actually had the balls to extend the action into space. I mean LOL. Surely a gun can't even be fired in space?

Sure you can.

And it's probably an abandoned game.. but Shattered Horizon (zero G space FPS) had some neat ideas.

Thanks for the link to that great article, very enlightening.

As a side note, in the article it says: "If the bullet leaves the gun barrel at 1,000 meters per second, you — because you're much more massive than it is — will head the other way at only a few centimeters per second."

And I know it is a game and has sound in space, but does the character actually steps back a few centimeters after shooting?

If it does, that's a nice little touch. :)

Though I have no interest in actually playing this game, but the space bit is pretty neat, if little goofy looking.

You'd also accelerate after every round you fired (some weapons fire as many as 1000 rounds per minute).. but I guess you could use it to get around :D

Well, at least now the physics of COD make sense. No bullet drop in space.

I agree. Not when it sells this well looking and running like crap on every platform under the sun.

Or Under water Mr.White. Spear Guns would made more sense in water. But when you consider who eats this stuff up, why bother?

I hate to break up the hateraide cooler chat...but after playing this game for a week...it does exactly what it's supposed to, it's fun to play. Is it photorealism? No...but that's not what it's going for. Is it using true to life physics? No, again...not what it's going for. Is the game fun to play? Yes....which is it's intent. For me personally, if i want to enjoy photorealistic graphics and true to life physics shooting...I get my gun, drive up into the mountains and go shooting. The game, for me, provides some fun with friends when i get home from work; and some competitive elbow nudging and taunting with my girlfriend. It's approachable, easy to pick up, but complex enough I don't get bored after 3 months.

Hate to break it to you but the games that competition to Call of Duty isn't going for realism either :P

So I am about to have 1080P gameplay for COD Ghost on PS4, then what I was playing on PS3? 480P?

I never said they were, so, what exactly is your point?
Commented on 2013-11-22 21:12:32
Just because people disagree with aspects of the game's design, it doesn't mean they're demanding realism.

Never said they were, and I never mentioned it's competition...so, I am not sure what you're actually getting at Grift. People said the game looked like Sh!t...which I guess compared to something running on a $1500 PC that may be the case. I'm just contending that after having played the game for a week: it looks good, runs smoothly, is easy to get into and is fun to play. It's not by any means ground breaking, but nevertheless a solid game.
Commented on 2013-11-22 21:56:21
Oh.. my bad. I took the physics bit to be more about gameplay than graphics.
Commented on 2013-11-22 22:01:01
The gameplay is pretty solid, it brings nothing new to the genre, but, you can pick it up, play it, enjoy it, and not be frustrated by it. It's not BF by any means, but, I've found the whole BF vs. COD to be more a matter of preference than anything quantifiable (Gameplay wise, there's no denying BF4 graphics spank COD).
