Ubisoft released nothing less than 3 new videos of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, one being a developer diary, and 6 images. All are from the multiplayer modes.
For gods sake Ubisoft, "SORT OUT YOUR BLOODY SCREEN TEARING ISSUES !!!!!". Every game from Ubisoft to do with Splinter Cell, or Vegas etc seem to suffer from terrible tearing. I so hope they sort this out because it shouldn`t happen !.
Does the new "drop-in" co-op feature mean they've nixed the 4 player co-op through the single player campaign? If so that sucks. I buy these games (RB6, GRAW, etc.) for the co-op play.
the lighting and shadowing is fantastic, so much improved over the original, but it looks like texturing has suffered because of it, we'll see, as long as the single player is long enough, i'll be picking this up

For sure. The lighting on the first one was terrible! It was like everything was lit by one huuuge strip light. The DLC was slightly improved, but that took 48hrs to load each map
Graphics aren't anything special, but this is Rainbow Six, and its userbase cares more about realism than they do about high texture counts. I loved the last ones multiplayer and I'll be picking this up next month, but I think CoD4 may have grabbed a few Rainbow fans.

I can't wait. This game is coming out at the perfect time too. I, as well as I'm sure many other Day 1 CoD4 gamers, are just starting to get a little bored with CoD4. By mid-March, when this game is supposed to be released, I should be completely done with CoD4, if the new maps aren't out by then.
Also, RS Vegas 2 got lucky with BF Bad Company and Haze getting delayed, so now March and most of Spring 08 is pretty much theirs for the taking as far as FPSs go.
Enticed by all the talk about the sequel, I finally got around to get the first Vegas game. I wasn't really all that interested in the title when it came out, but wow, I was wrong. The game is great! A little hard for me, but still very rewarding. I will definately pick up this sequel.
I liked the first one pretty well, and I have this one preordered, but I'm actually not sold on it. I may cancel my preorder, it just doesn't look that interesting to me...

everything looks rather odd. Like an above poster mention, somewhat cartoony.
Ubisoft are slowly becoming EA by pumping out half-arsed sequels...
I'm gonna get this purely because I like indoor shooters. GRAW and COD maps just bore me.
