Rail shooter Blue Estate coming to PS4/X1

Rail shooter Blue Estate coming to PS4/X1

The rail shooter Blue Estate, based on the comic books from Viktor Kalvachev has been announced by Focus for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The dark comedy shooter, already available for PC/Leap Motion, will use Microsoft's Kinect and the gyroscopic features of Sony's pad. It will be out later this year.

HESAW AND FOCUS HOME INTERACTIVE UNVEIL BLUE ESTATE
Buckle up for one helluva ride!

HESAW and Focus Home Interactive are proud to present Blue Estate, the darkly funny rail shooter based on the Eisner Award-nominated Blue Estate comic books from Viktor Kalvachev. Designed from the ground up to exploit the unprecedented accuracy and precision of Kinect for Xbox One®, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft and the gyroscopic featuresof the new PlayStation®4 controller, Blue Estate offers slick wit and punishing violence through a genuinely fun and intuitive control system, all set in an eye-popping technicolor mob world.

In Blue Estate, the players will play as Tony Luciano, the homicidal maniac son of LA's crime boss Don Luciano, and Clarence, a broke ex-navy seal who has been hired to clean up Tony's mess. While Tony wages war with the Sik gang in an attempt to get back his kidnapped "Helen of Troy", Clarence has to try to end that war against increasing odds.

While experiencing the smoothness of motion control in a rail shooter, using the unique motion sensor capabilities of the PlayStation®4 and Xbox One®, the player will enter a fight for his life against the most absurd and dangerous enemies, such as scar covered champions that fight-to-the-death, Tony's own hair and Chihuahuas that are too happy to see you. Players are given a series of primary and secondary weapons to help make their way through the hilariously perilous missions which will come in handy defeating the bosses who'll try to end your game and your life. But sometimes firepower isn't enough, so think before shooting and use cover to prepare your strategy, reload often, and try not to get turned into grated cheese.

A killing spree is always better when shared, and that's why Blue Estate offers the opportunity for a second player to join the fun, through a cooperative mode where every headshot counts to show who's the best trigger in da house!

More information, screenshots and videos of Blue Estate will be revealed during the coming months!

Avoid. One of the most offensive and boring games of last year.

I see with each generation that pass in gaming, people become more and more slaves to graphics.

I'm a slave to both, oldskool (Hyper Light Drifter, Chasm, Teslagrad) AND nextgen graphics (Killzone, 2nd Son, The Order). Your hypothesis is invalid ! And this is a shit game...

I should get around to Teslagrad, gorgeous animation and art. Played the Chasm demo, a lot of fun, and Hyper Light Drifter, can't wait for the alpha/beta.

Shame about it being terrible, but after playing the Infamous spray tagging mini-games I'm surprised how accurate the DS4 is without any camera or sensor. Light gun games can finally work just by holding the controller like a gun.

About the game

amerakindesi @Tiz: who is joe staten? I agree with your point though (10 minutes ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz If Joe Staten is working on H6, then they have a lot less to worry about as he can steer Halo's cinematic direction very well. (4 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz @amerakindesi: I think the planets are aligning quite nicely for Halo 6. They don't have to worry so much about multiplayer save for map design. Now they can focus efforts on the campaign. (4 Hours ago)
  • aphex187
aphex187 Best Xmas game evah! :D [url] (5 Hours ago)
  • amerakindesi
amerakindesi @Tiz: halo definitely relies more on individual skill, because every one is essentially the same character. halo is a still a great idea of a game. i hope they improve on "halo" for 6 (5 Hours ago)
  • docLEXfisti
docLEXfisti Snatcher was awesome, played it on the European Mega CD (7 Hours ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke @Moonwalker: I agree. Other than the Metal Gear series, he didn't really present something as good. And I thought MGS5 was ultra boring (8 Hours ago)
