Cool stuff. If Dirt is any indication of what CM can bring to the next installment of RaceDriver, then I'm all set.

I know this is is the 360 version and I'll probably get it for the 360 too but Codemasters, please, for the love of all things good, don't let the PC versions control scheme suck as much as it did on DIRT, Linear controls is all that's all I ask.

It did turn into need for speed. Developers are saying they'll stray from their simulation approach to get attention from a wider crowd. Not to mention the fact that they added drifting :S. A good racing game with good physics will give you the chance to drift if you want to, but tweaking the physics of the car to make the kids go bananas as they do a mile long drift on specific events is a nono in my book.
I will surely miss the good ol' Toca.

OMG! 24 Hours Le Mans! The last time I did that was on Lemans 24hrs for the Dreamcast, I nearly died!!! :o/

Fucking sweet. I'm on to this one when it comes out!

No story mode, no variable weather? Might as well play any of the numerous other racing games then..........

That looks amazing let's just hope it's how the game will look when your playing, and that wasn't just another rendered scene.

Yes that sucks. GT HD did that, and it is horrible and shows the bad physics. Seeing this trailer and the horrible, extremely fake drifting, I can't get excited at all.

It is CGI, as stated in the news.....

uh oh, 24hrs of Le Mans? I guess i better get this on PS3 instead of 360. I don't trust my 360 being on that long.

What the hell was that? If it was anything like PGR fine by me but this seems to be as arcade as NFS and RR. I mean I like Burnout but taking down cars should not take place on a circuit with european race/supercars on it (like in the video) and the way it looks like is that the only way you can overtake someone is while you're on a straight line wich is extremly unrealistic (espeacially when the cars are almost at topspeed and someone shoots by with about what seems 40mph more). Let's not talk about drifting...

If the gameplay is anything like that trailer we're in for a mix of NFS and RR. I expected more.

Yeah some of in-game screenshots are too much NFS ProStreet.

The problem with that in GT is that it is not at all geared for drifiting. Drifting is an artform in reallife that requires a very specefic car setup. Something that GT didn't do very well.
Theres a few cars that in Forza2 that actually are setup for drifting - and here it works! (A testament to the Froza physics engine). So, I wouldn' say it can't be done right. You just need to know what you are doing.
Based on the Toca record and Dirt I wouldn't write Grid off at all. This might just be what the mad racing fans need. And the 24hours Lemans with 20 cars on track just sounds too sweet to missed. I've missed such a gamefeature since I retired my lovely Dreamcast (and the 24hoursLemans game, which was utterly brilliant)

I remind the pictures perfectly.
I don't see competitions TOCA, only "casual" driving with tunning cars.

I know what I'm saying, and what I said is that as of GTHD, the physics were so pathetic they couldn't do a REAL drift mode.

I know that FM2 doesn't do this, and yes, that because FM2's physics are able to do that AND MORE, which on consoles I'd say it is the only game.

And yes, 24 Hrs Le Mans was amazing on Dreamcast! Even if you play it right now, you'd still be impressed at the night/day cycle with ~24 cars.

I'm loving the graphics so far, but I'll just wait and see some actual gameplay before I get excited. I hope the physics are well improved over Dirt. I mean, I'm no sim-racer enthusiast and am not picky at all in that regard, but Dirt's physics are all over the place. It's really pathetic.

When you release the throttle you're almost instantly standing still already and the sense of speed, or rather...the lack there-of, is poor. Especially when you have a series of sharp corners one after the other, it's just impossible to drift though them as you're basicly standing still after exiting the first one. This really needs to be improved a lot with GRID.

I'm also not too excited about the direction they're taking this game. I don't care what they or anyone else says, but it's definitely looking like a NFS:PS clone, and that's not a good thing.
