Red Faction goes sketchy

Red Faction goes sketchy

THQ and Red Faction: Armageddon pay tribute to the 80s with the Sketch mode that gives the game's textures some doodle effect. Trailer inspired by the song Take On Me from the norvegian band A-HA. The game will be out on June 7.

Nostalgia ftw. I bet everyone is demanding for this sketch effect to be made into the game, like black and white in LA Noire.

Currently chuckling to myself looks like a black and white borderlands, the demo was great fun looking forward to this one with it being linear and not sandbox, that part of RF guerrilla made it drag and become boring. Definitely need some destructive alien killing fun wiv robots always a winner :). GET YOUR ASS TO MARS!!!!

I was under the impression that the game is still sandbox?

The game is linear and it has some open areas like mini sandboxs 4 u to play in. Thats what the guy they got doing all the interviews stated. Have you tried the demo? if not get it downloaded awesome fun :) Check out www.gametrailers.com or ign.com for the interviews with the developers

LOL yeah, not a fan of it at all.

I didnt even enjoy the sapia in Uncharted or the stupid grainy film filter in ME, this one is too much.

About the game

What's up?
  • Sdarts
Sdarts The Witcher games - and books - aren't perfect, but nothing is. For what they are and what they have accomplished, I thank both the author and the developers from the bottom of my heart. (4 Hours ago)

Sdarts And it ran for years under the radar of almost everyone before the anime, then it suddenly became an enourmous worldwide success. In a way, the same happened with The Witcher books and the games. (4 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @Megido: Just because certain works aren't very popular doesn't mean that they aren't great. Take for example Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan), the manga is even better than the anime. (4 Hours ago)

Sdarts @GriftGFX: English. And also listened to them in English. Same with Game of Thrones' books. (4 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Although the games' writing isn't at the same level as the books', it's still far, far, far vastly better than 99% of the writing in games, movies, TV shows and books. CD Projekt RED did an epic job. (4 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @Sdarts: Cool.. what language did you read them in? (4 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @GriftGFX: From someone who read and even listened to all The Witcher books before playing the games. The books are on par with The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and Harry Potter books imho. (4 Hours ago)
