I think some one needs to tell them what HD means!
Looks like 1080 to me, that's pretty much what HD means brah. For 20 bucks, i think that's a pretty decent deal. Assuming the port is good ofc. It's a great game, even if the textures are a bit on the low res side and the polycounts aren't on par with Crysis 3. If i've managed to get a new job by then, it's pretty much a done deal for me :P
One of my favorite games ever but I already bought it...wait.. one, two, three, four times! gamecube,ps2,wii,360. If it's worth it this might be the fifth time at that price, provided it has gamepad support.

That's high resolution, well not even that for P.C.s For ultimate HD edition I'd expect textures that don't look like they came from the year 1999. Have a look at this http://www.gamersyde.com/news_tomb_raider_next_gen... if your struggling to understand what I'm on about.

He's not struggling. He just knows that "HD" means "High Definition" which in fact refers to resolution.
So a P.C. game is hi definition if it's 1080p despite what on the screen? Must trade this 6990 in then, As clearly I don't need it. The onboard card can do 1080p at desktop. I can't believe anyone could be the slightest bit impressed with the texture or lack of them in those screen shots.

What's so hard to understand? Per definition 1080p is HD, this game seems to deliver on that. Nobody was promised a fucking REMAKE of the game, and so that's not what you are getting for your 20 bucks. For me, i'm happy if i can play one of my favorite RE games in HD at solid 60 fps (limited by the fact that my computer is currently hooked up to my tv). It's as simple as that.
But yeah, if you expect capcom to actually do work for their money, then think again. We don't have 2394820934 versions of Street Fighter 2 on SNES alone for no reason.
The previous PC version was a shoddy port of the ps2 which had downscaled textures and lower poly count. Now this here is a port of the ps3/360 HD release which was a port of the gamecube/wii version - the proper version. The problem is that we could already play that "HD" release on a gc/wii emulator bumping the res to 1080p. There's also the fact that every person on the planet that wanted to play re4 already did...

Is there something in your brain that makes it so you can't post without swearing?
The difference with P.C. games is we've had HD(high resolution) for donkeys years you just alter it in your settings.. A HD remake For a P.C. Would be high definition, as in half decent textures and models. Clearly Capcom, like yourself have forgotten this.

no, HD is a resolution, not the textures or models. you can render out a PSone game at 1080p and it's still HD. it may not be a remake, but it's still HD.

Fuck, ass, tits, dick. Apparently not.
Again, nobody has ever called this a remake. It's a re-relese in HD. That's it. You seem to have different expectations, but i seriously don't see how the game is to blame for that. Stop talking like you take the whole bloody "pc master race" joke seriously. I've got a computer that you could call high end without exaggerating too much, doesn't stop me from playing older games, retro games or indy titles that don't push my GPU to the breaking point. That's fine though, for 20 bucks i don't expect a company to remake their old games to look like a modern AAA title.
Not that i think particularly highly of Crapcom and their business practices in general, though this seems like a release i could get on board with. Also i don't really think emulating the game on Dolphin, as Cloud pointed out, is the same thing as...you know, actually buying the game.
Yeah, and if i had the game i'd probably have a Wii to play it on too, effectively eliminating the need for emulating it in the first place. You can, i'm just assuming that most people are smelly pirate hookers when it comes to emulation.
At the same time, i'm sure the license for the game prohibits emulation of it anyway, so in the end i imagine it's still legally dubious to run any kind of official software on Dolphin.
Not that this is a point worth discussing anyway, since the actual argument was "waaah, it's not a full blown remake!" vs sensible expectations.

Nothing to do with master race, I have a gaming P.C. , Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and Xbox one. Maybe I wouldn't expect a AAA title, But a single 'A' would be nice :p

And your wii can play those games with AA and at 1080p? No. That's the point of doing it.
Resident Evil 4's the last great Capcom game I played. Certainly, the last for the series.
It would be nice if it had more bells and whistles to be called "HD", but since it's such a great game and I don't feel like busting out my Gamecube (didn't like the Playstation version), I'll probably grab this one.

oh, another version of the game that ruined RE...like we haven't had enough.
I wouldn't say "ruined"
at the time it was an amazing and refreshing change for the series that worked perfectly until resident evil 5 came out, then it became clear that this shit isn't going to be scary anymore.

I'm pretty sure that's where I played RE4
